Marcelo Bielsa

Yeah there is no way a DoF would want Bielsa. Same way as Brands wouldn’t have really wanted Ancelotti.

I’d probably trust Bielsa over Thelwell though which makes it a difficult one.
Bielsa makes Thelwell job easier.

The man is an encyclopaedia of football. If he identifies a player for a position, he will have 2 or 3 in his mind before Thelwell does.

He has spent money well and let's face Everton operating with a bigger budget

He has added to attacking elements which made Leeds more stronger and they sold Raphinha for £50m.

He will be coming into a team that is disjointed but need leadership and management.

Makes his job redundant rather than easier I’d say.

It feels like bielsa is moshiri’s and maybe dyche is bill’s , ultimately moshiri picks if he’s committed but let’s see how this plays out .

Given the choice , late January 2023 , it’s conflicted even for me . Different times of the season the choice could be so much easier but we are where we are . I feel like I’ve no clue (this is not a secret).
Thing is, if we go down we are stuck with then realistically. And I'd rather be stuck with Bielsa than Dyche in either league.

You are locked into that style of manager if you let him squad build though? Not necessarily a bad thing if the hiring has consistency going forward.

I don’t know. Feels very exciting and aggressive going after someone like him, but also a bit like doing shots after you’ve already been sick.

Rodrigo is the one that I am not sure about...rest have been very good indeed

This will end in tears. Rinse and repeat!

According to Joyce, it sounds like Bielsa is Moshiri's choice not Thelwell.

Spent well? £20m on Llorent? Nearly £20m on Helder Costa ffs

Bielsa brought through several youngsters at Leeds- I’d hope Bielsa would have a good look at the likes of Mills, Price and Welch and look to integrate them into the first team. Think he’d work well with Thelwell in that sense- the idea of a coherent approach looking to bring through our own talent and build something more sustainable.

Locked into a manager who wants attacking and fast football is EXACTLY what every football fan wants.

Bielsa will humble some of these players through hard work, being a unit and fighting for each other. We can't name 5 players we bought since Moshiri took over who did that.
