One moment I’m all for him then the very next he petrifies me. This thread has incredible sales power over me.
It’s incredible isn’t it ?even without the footballing style I love his basic insanity the offering staff out , the casual FU of the press with use interpreters and swerving interviews, hand grenades and stories of measuring sleeping players and I feel all that makes him the kind of bloke that I and the majority of the fans would love . However I look at the position we’re in and our squad and I feel absolute horror at the majority of them trying to adjust to his style in about 4 days before facing arsenal and then a trip to the devils den .

Conflicted isn’t the half of it .

Way too many red flags this for me.

He has one style of play only which has been proven time and again it’s easy to play against.

His Leeds team shipped so many goals it was ridiculous

He wasn’t deemed good enough for Leeds but we want him?

There’s just no way his insistence on playing from the back with Coady and Mykolenko and co doesn’t end in disaster

He is a very volatile man who I just can’t see how he gets on with this loony board

He has never once joined a team mid season. Everyone expecting him to join and for the players fitness to just be amazing all of a sudden are in for a rude awakening, it’s not going to happen.

For the people saying “oh well we are down anyway it’ll be a laugh,” both points are wrong: we are only two points from safety with half a season left. And come back to me about his kamikaze footy when we lose 7-0 at Anfield about how enjoyable and entertaining it is.
For me with bielsa on board would mean safety at 50 50. It would be a drastic change for sure when approaching games but we need that. The safe approach from lampard isn't working. But you're right...with bielsa is either extremes...very good or very bad, and when is bad is really bad...but at this stage we have nothing to lose anymore.

My other take here is that there will be players in that squad who Bielsa improves hugely - the logic of being unsure Bielsa could do anything with the squad of dross we've got is based on what we've seen under Benitez, Lampard etc - I've seen Bielsa get bang average Championship players looking PL standard. I don't know who exactly, but I'd bet good money that if he were to come in, there'd be a few surprises in terms of players who got a new lease of life.

I would not pick Bielsa but I can see the logic in the appointment on a short term contract until the summer.

He is highly regarded as a coach and is used to working with limited resources, if relegated then he knows about promotion as well.

We are already screwed and have made so many bad decisions, in the scheme of things this would not be the worst.

Better at least than Rooney or Ferguson.

If you think the squad is mid table level then you'd probably go for Bielsa.

If not then its Tedesco all day long...with Gallardo as the outsider.
