Marcelo Bielsa

Isn't that the problem though.
We need a manager that is in charge rather than the players.
All I know about Bielsa is that he is highly regarded as a coach and in my humble opinion is a head case.... perfect for us.

I know that Everton is the biggest basket case around only surpassed by the expectations of some on here.

We still have plenty who want to appoint managers based on an exotic name.
His ideas are highly rated but they need tweaking, he's hardly won anything in the game has he. having good ideas doesn't always translate well into coaching.

I personally don't get the fuss, Leeds have been terrible in this division, concede for fun, that won't cut it at Goodison will it.

Maybe a bullet dodged if the rumours he has rejected us turn out to be true. Even though i quite like him, i just couldn't see how he could come in half way through a season to a club in relegation struggles and hit the ground running. More of a start at pre season and build kind of guy this one i think but i could be totally wrong.
Is that not true of every manager?

It's not even just winning stuff either. For all people keep saying about this massive potential upside and how he'd be almost guaranteed to get us promoted if we go down, there's actually very little in his club career to suggest he improves things. The go to example of him being good is his Athletic Bilbao team of about 10 years ago, who finished 6th the season before he took over and 4th the season after he left, but 10th and 12th in the 2 seasons he was there.

it’s suicide getting this man

@chicoazul let the record know that our Friend Matty laughed back in 2019 at the suggestion of Arteta. He also laughed at the idea of Howe being our manager and was a massive fanboy of Frank.

His suggestions for next manager should be null and void.

@Stevie Nicks Bootleg

Every single option mentioned so far is crap. I see no point in pretending that this guy will be anything other than a disaster because there's no doubt in my mind that he will be. And just like Lampard, it won't really be his fault. It'll all be on the morons who run us for employing another lame duck that was doomed to fail right from the start.
So we'll be getting one or another of the crap options

'Twas always thus.

Yeah probably is. Not even sure if the rumour is true anyway as Vinny O'Conner of SSN was stood outside finch farm about half an hour ago saying discussions are still taking place and Bielsa would like to get in early so he can take the players away somewhere warm for a few days to instil his philosophy.

God knows where we are up to with it all.

Too soon.

I think he’s a great manager myself, but feel he’s just continued te good work of Ryan Lowe.

Wish him all the best though, and no doubt Bill would love to “Bring a Blue Home”.

Bill wont know who he is!
Tunnel vision for 'our Wayne' those days!

Neglegted some ral talent in the likes of Schumacher, Scott Brown & Steven Beck
