Feeling very positive after today's overdue announcement.
Onwards and upwards with Marco and let's hope he can instill a winning mentality into his team and restore pride in wearing our famous blue shirt.

I don’t buy the we are difficult fans to appease angle. We are clearly the 7th best club in England. Consistently finishing top 7, with pleasing footy and development from the younger players and it’s hapoy days

Absolutely right. He's got 3 years, no more knee jerk. It'll be tough to shape this team, treading water will be a good start and playing some decent football. While I've been a big fan of some of the old guard, they need shipping out, which is always a tough ask when people want to cling into their status.

We seem to have a clear plan and direction with Brands in post, so let's allow the manager some time and give him the support.
Sorry, must have missed something....what is the plan?

all our players have seen that this manager has already downed tools once at Watford, so it kind o f gives them a license to do the same to him if it starts off badly.

Nope

Because there is Brands in, and ultimately he's the boss

So if Silva has a bad start and the players don't put the effort in, you can be assured that Brands will come down on them, hard.

Reading between the lines (based on quotes from Silva and Brands) we are looking to youth to transition into the first team, look to recruit players young with potential and give them a platform.

Brands seems to be taking control of the strategy and Silva the tactical. Obviously direction towards attacking football.

Does that answer your question?

We have to give Roberto Marco at least three seasons and see where we are then. There should be no more knee jerk sackings.
Nah that's ridiculous. I understand that he'll need some time to turn the club around and get us playing football again but if he isn't consistently improving the team year on year then we can't wait three years to sack him. The most important thing now is that Brands has clearly stated that we want to play fast attacking football based around young players. That's a big step forward and what we should have done after sacking Martinez. So we've now got a clear sense of direction which we've been missing. If Silva sorts out his defensive problems and keeps improving us then fine but if not then we get someone else in who can, whilst still moving in the direction of fast attacking football based around young players.
