He was a very bad manager in my opinion, but I do have some sympathy for him with regards to the Gueye/Gbamin and Zouma situations. Unlike similar frauds in Martinez and Koeman, he also never Lukaku to make him look much better than he actually is.

There's also the fact that even Carlo Ancellotti struggles to get a tune out of some of our wasters on a consistent basis and he's forgotten more about football since his breakfast this morning than Silva will ever know so he was probably always doomed to fail.
