Marco Silva- Former Everton Manager

It's because he is fancy and Portuguese. We thought we were getting Mourinho mk2, but really we got a Vilas-Boas v5.
Must have been more to it. We went after him twice. Someone must have had Moshri’s ear.
Can’t believe how many teams make poor management choices and some managers continue to get employed.
We got lucky in the end that Ancelotti was available and willing. Dread to think who’d we’d have got otherwise.

It was baffling, aye. No idea why Moshiri had a hard-on for Silva when he's done absolutely nothing in his entire career. Went after him then entrusted him with 200m of spending, the effects we are still feeling to this day and will do until the summer of 2022 when the last of his signings leaves us (Sigurdsson).

Sigurdsson was Koeman surely?

He’s memorable for nearly taking us down, poor choice in tracksuits (even for the 90’s) and being a massive bellend imo. Also a candidate for the worst manager in our history
Was about to say wtf at this relating to Marco Silva, then visualised Walker in that shell suit monstrosity and I remembered that people were talking about him.

Mike Walker. Absolutely no way to predict how bad that one would have turned out. I still maintain that given his Norwich record and no benefit of foresight, that it was a good appointment. But how wrong it was.

Again another one, I don't mind now he's gone. Just not good enough in his time here.

Anyway, I do hope that Marco Silva finds a way back into management and has learnt how to be more successful as there is definitely a decent coach in the making there.

Like some others, I don't hate him. I think he was an OK guy who was appointed to a job way too big for him - simple as. I don't blame him for taking the job, as it was the fault of others for appointing him. He was, however, completely inflexible as a manager, and wasn't going to be proved wrong about his pretty awful tactics. In the end I couldn't wait to see the back of him, as the whole situation needed putting out of its misery. and that last derby he was in charge of truly was spirit-crushing stuff.
I was there, what a horrendous night

Walker is a mystery to this day, takes Norwich to third, comes here and is beyond bad but seems NEA about things, fired and never manages again.

It's like he knew he was an imposter all along and was scared to try. No idea what that Norwich team were like but hard to understand how a charlatan could have that sort of success (relatively speaking) with them.
