He needs to improve our defence. Everyone knows that. But he was let down by his fullbacks making basic errors today. Baines gifted away a soft penalty. It's hard to legislate for stupidity like that.

I love Baines but he cost us dearly today. Indeed, both our mainstay fullbacks have been suspect of late.

As an aside, I was really impressed with how the Bournemouth fans got behind their team, even when we were two goals ahead. They were like the proverbial 12th man.

I don't blame Silva I blame Baines. He's abar 33 and doing kid stuff like that. I'm assuming digne isn't fully fit yet or hed be in. Baines has been around long enough not to do stuff like that no excuses

To be fair I think a couple of strands of his hair was out of place and he was distracted by this which led to him making the mistake he did, these things happen.

We go into every game likely to concede at least 1. Defending set pieces without tracking your man is suicidal in this league.

Going to be interesting to see how he addresses this. Our defending is shambolic, and that is putting it lightly. He has Digne, Zouma and Mina to come in.

Conceding 5 goals in 3 games is not acceptable, having these constant mistakes is also not acceptable.
