Why is the comparison always with Liverpool? How about Tottenham? 10 years ago, both clubs were arguably in the same place, and I think Everton have a higher wage bill than Tottenham as well.

Quite happy to be corrected by @Yid4life , but 10 years ago, ish, Spurs were owned by a billionaire, but on 2 points after about 10 games. Then "Arry" pitched up.

I think.

There wasn’t much pressing going on against Spurs!

It was more counter attacking and tactically, the first 25 minutes was outstanding. Davies had no idea where to be on the field, Gomes was a step slow, and neither adjusted to Spurs changes. Not sure how much Silva can help in that regard. He definitely can't help our players giving the ball away constantly and surely can't help that our keeper is an idiot and the ref called a push on DCL.

Some informative answers on Silva philosophy, thank you.

The stuff about me being an Allardyce advocate and therefore stupid is mindblowing. Some people would still think the world is
flat even if taken up in a space ship. I've always preferred to judge things/people on facts/rational/results than mass hysteria.

Crimhead states `and he likes playing defensive mids that can help support the outside backs and cover a ton of ground.'

Other than Gueye we don't have a single centre mid player at the club remotely capable of this to a decent standard. That is the main reason we were annihalated by Spurs and will continue to get tonked by the best teams,

Is it Brands fault for failling to secure this kind of centre mid or Silvas fault for not pushing for it and/or playing in a way that this strikingly obvious huge deficiancy gets exposed?

You are actually crazy mate.

Why did you abandon your @EverBlue92 account? You just made a new account and changed the way you go about demanding we get a new manager.

Utterly insane.

But we have the best manager we can attract.
Don't agree mate. Happy to support him for now (within reason of course) however if a club with a relative high spending level over the last few seasons, a new stadium on the horizon, playing in the most popular league can't attract better than Marco Silva (who has failed twice previously in this league) then Moshiri is NOT the man to lead us imo, he has to be aiming higher than that, but he made his mind up because Silva was flavor of the month.

I would say the crazier (or sadder one) is a bloke on an internet forum over the Xmas and Boxing Day festivities.

After spending time with my loved ones I come on here to see yet another accusation of me being someone else.

Numerous kopites

Adversus

Fred or someone

Now some bloke named after an STD.

Just turn off the internet fella its embarassing if you think im some Marvel or DC supervillian with access to 20 different accounts and IP's. Maybe go see some friends or something?

Regardless of the EFC result today I wont be posting as I'll wait until the inevitable when the masses realise Silva is another dud. Until then have a good new year :pint2:

Moshiri has made mistakes, but its his money that pays the price for them.

I wasnt convinced by Silva, im still not, but he gets my unwavering support until such a time I think he no longer deserves it.

Brands will pick the managers going forward, in an ideal world he doesnt for a long time.

I want Silva to succeed, so much, I get the impression that a few people are happy that hes currently failing, for some people being able to say I told you so is all that keeps them going.

Has a pop about me posting on boxing day while he posts on boxing day.

Unreal irony.

My family has gone out and left me alone to watch footy all day, couldnt think of a better Boxing day myself.

Agree with the first bit but there’s no way you lose 6-2 at home and it not be largely due to the managers tactics.

2008-2009

Two points from 8 games. Harry was appointed, beat Bolton, drew 4-4 with Woolwich after being 4-2 down with about 5-10 minutes to play, beat the RS and and then beat Man C.

Finished 8th.
