The only saving grace is that when the axe does fall.......which I think will be around October/November time because sadly Silva is living down to every expectation I had of him based on the ten months he had managed in England prior to Moshiri's mad obsession to poach him from Watford and I cannot see the next ten months being any improvement.....is that it will be Brands doing the hiring.
After the trio of terror Mo has inflicted on us....Koeman, Sam and now this fellow....he has to be kept well away from future managerial appointments.
We've got to then hope that he can beat the trend and produce an improvement in his second season rather than following the trend, otherwise it's very worrying.
Personally, I still advocate giving him time as I do not feel chopping and changing is the way forward, but my concerns are starting to grow with every week.
You could argue that our squad has improved fairly substantially and with Brands this should continue, yet performances on the pitch are the bread and butter.

True this, once you can see someone isnt good enough, such as Tosun, Klassen, Sandro...etc thats it, no point saying give him time, you have to show that if your are givin time you have something to offer, Silva has nothing and this is his third Premier League job, its not like he is new to the league

There may not be many about who have a strike as good as he does but you need more than a good shot to be an effective 10 in this league, there's too many areas that he's lacking in.

A lot of our time is spent talking about transfers and the money we do/do not have available to spend. It’s getting to the point now where I’d rather we went all out financially for a truly world class manager. The problem is of course that those managers would most likely want (and need) to be backed heavily in a transfer window in order to succeed here. I’m doubtful we could afford to do both which is just kind of depressing

The club just isn't going to sack him while we're still in the cup mate. It's just not going to happen.
My issue here is that it actually looks like he has the support of the players - which makes me dread to think of how it might go if he ever loses that support.
His tactics are rubbish tbh. Too much sideways passing without any real movement or directness. Richarlison up top doesn't work yet he continues to put him there.
Defensively atrocious. He doesn't inspire me with confidence when I see him on the sidelines looking dreary either.
I am all for saying it probably may still be early to sack Silva but this excuse it's a transitional season is a load of rubbish. It's simply not good enough. Any other profession even in your first year if you ain't doing a good job you get pulled up for it. Should be no different here.
