Decent team? Everton?
Yeah we are decent. We are in a slump currently which I think we can overcome. 3 point off 7th and everyone’s ready for jumping off a cliff. We have a young maybe immature team that with a few key additions could become a pretty good team. Just everyone expects instant results. Like the kopites have expected to win the league every year for the last 30. It’s not there Devine right and after the dross served up last season I think we need to be a bit a bit more patient with our team and we will get the rewards eventually. Rather than changing managers. Imagine if it was happening in your place of work and the staff was changing every time you had a change of manager. Would you be performing to the best of your ability or would there be seeds
Of doubt?

I was not a fan of Marco because I believe we need the best at the top to filter and through the club.

I never saw enough from his time at Hull or Watford but I respect our board but I think they readjust due to managers payoff like Martinez, Koeman and Fat Sam whichever meant we narrowed our search to lesser manager options.

He hasn't got the tactically ability to adjust while games are active.

He has to traits of Martinez, Koeman and Fat Sam:
Martinez - defensively naive and stubborn.
Koeman - formationally too ridged and inconsistent tactically.
Fat Sam - Creative void.

He waits for teams to dominate and eventually score in most occasions but he recorded a chance and usually he opted to chuck a striker up top then find a creative option to open the game up.

We instantly lose our plan and become crab-like because shape and team plan isn't coming across.

We have no identity but I could see our current management being changed sooner rather then later.

So why was koeman sacked why was Sam sacked

I saw 2-3 more transfer windows and he will have his team but until then it would suit us to play simpler

He can revert back to what we did during the start of the season. I don’t think he enjoys and is reluctant to play counter attack, that’s the only reason I can think of. It’s not beyond him to revert for sure.
I’m not sure if 2-3 transfer window can reach that level. His approach requires world class playmaker and dribbler. Non in the team now.

All I am saying is the team needs gradual change. We just need a no nonsense coach who will stand up to the players we have and make them work hard, while drilling in Firm defensive principles .

Jose is one of them. Keeps getting sacked for doing that......
So just to cut a long story short, are you saying these players cant play football

Digne
Zouma
Gomes
Bernard
Richarlison
Lookman

There's 6 of the 11 starting today not including Pickford who isn't exactly scared of the ball.

Are you saying that lot are incapable of playing decent passing football? If they are incapable of playing football then we have a recruitment problem because 5 of those 6 came in the summer.

We can go on and on about not winning sod all for years we are all aware of it, we are all aware that that there's been a squad of bottlers used to abject failure year on year. Are the players I've mentioned players used to abject failure year on year?

I don't think it's too much to expect to be able to see players play simple 10 yard passes and not struggle, players to play with a tempo, shape and balance and giving it a go.

When that doesn't happen the manager will be rightly called into question. The reason previous managers have been sacked is because they probably weren't good enough in the first place and the reason any manager gets sacked is when results/performances aren't good enough.

Only because we sacked Martinez, Koeman and Allardyce doesn't mean that Silva shouldn't be sacked if things don't improve. It's a results business and results are something we seem incapable of stringing together

Edit apologies as my short story turned long

I'm saying the other 4 are the issue. Not the players brought in by brands. Lookman by all accounts is young and learning the game so he will have bad spells right now.

You say bad recruitment, again exactly my point about Walsh players before hand. That's why the squad is in such a bad way. I haven't said about the new players.

But the whole point of the other players is a very valid one. Doesn't matter is Messi is in this team if half of the team aren't moving Into space for him.

The minute we sack a manager at the first sign of a bad run we turn into the teams we seem to look down on. Before long mark hughes, Alan pardew are the best we can get . How can a manager stamp their style onto a club within 6 months with most of the previous 3 managers players?

No, we're not decent, we're garbage, 3 points off 7th? Nothing but the best is good enough. I don't know how more patient I can be, I've been patient for nearly 24 years now.

Don’t think anyone can complain with the team he put out. Today our midfield two where poor. Gomes to me has looked jaded for a few weeks and Gana maybe has his mind on other things and is not performing at 100%. Richarlson is struggling a bit up front and teams are defending deeper as they know they can contain him easily that way. As for silva he needs more time before we can judge him.
