We have more points now than we did at the same stage last season. We have scored more goals and conceded less.

We are not playing well at the moment. Yesterday was a pathetic display from players and manager. The tactics were inept and our players couldn't pass five yards.

Agree with the above mate but do you think we’ll finish higher than last year with our fixtures coming up? I honestly don’t but I am negative this morning.

If we finish say 12th, does he get another season?

Agree completely, and if in a years time we're still watching this dross and getting beat, his time is up. For now, give him a chance, frustrating though it is.

I really don’t know. If this turns out like Martinez’s second season and afterthat some fans said let’s give him time and the third season turned out to be crap again.

Bless their little heart's. I'm so happy for them, to be three points clear in mid jan of one of the worst Everton teams in the history of the club thats also under the stewardship of one of the worst managers in the club's history is quite the achievement for little Watford. Somthing to tell their grandkids about eh?!

I wouldn't put Silva, in the Martinez/Koeman level of awfulness yet.But still though, this season has been underwhelming to say the least.

After every non arsed performance he repeats the same words, "We were not aggressive enough", "we didn't start well".

The question is why are we not aggressive enough? Is it down to our players being pussies or it is just poor coaching and not being good at motivating them?

If all Silva can do is summarise the performances while failing to work out a solution the whole week between games them its simply not good enough!
He has a preferred way to play but the players weve got arent the right ones to play that way...were over run in midfield which gives Gana & Gomes too much to do and as a result not enough service to the forwards.
A system is required that suits these players...get it sorted

We became absolutely atrocious at home and need to play 5 top 6 teams, yet.

And there is the problem,we knew tactically what we'd get from Allardyce. We started the season pressing well and playing well on the break, but it's all gone to hell in a handcart and Silva is just standing looking clueless as to what to do next. Doesn't bode well for his future.

I’m sure Utd fans were asking why a team with Pogba, Martial, Lukaku, Rashford, Mata, Sanchez etc etc couldn’t attack and struggled to break teams down.

The tactics contribute to our players inability to keep old of the ball. We have one way of playing and the opposition are stifling us, it’s blatantly obvious to see.

Like the Fat Man we are now totally isolating our striker, he’s 40 yards away from the midfield when under pressure and he has to feed off a hoof upfield.

The transitional play from defence to attack as gone, there are gaps everywhere and players on the ball rarely have any options.

It’s now Groundhog Day and has been for the past 12 weeks with one exception, Burnley which obviously shows how tactically inept dyche is.

What silva gave us at the start of the year was impressive but it’s now beyond pathetic and he isn’t addressing anything. He looks petrified on the touch line but when you appoint a third rate manager this is what you get

Of course he's not good enough. He was a free transfer from bleedin' Watford and even then we had absolutely no competition to get his signature. He's done nothing in his career aside from unprofessionally downing tools at his previous club after we flashed the cash at him. He was given money to rectify the squad this summer and yet he has them being dominated even by the poorest teams in the division on a regular basis. Even when we win it's usually a laboured three points that we hardly even deserved. As I said, not good enough. I assume this 'form' will continue, and I hope he's given the bullet by March so a new manager can come in and sort the club out. Or wait and get Bielsa if Leeds don't get promoted. He'd sort out this gang of spineless losers in a flash.

I don't know was it at all down to Koeman or Steve Walsh, or a bit of both. But those signings, that were made, in that summer after Koemans first season were a disaster.

So far, I bet Silva got the same or worse results than Koeman’s opening 8 games against the top 6. And Koeman was sacked from that.

Just disappointed Moshiri did not go for proven name after Fat Sam was off.

What we've got to realise is that we're still only 2/3 thought January with nigh on four months left of football left. Yes we've got difficult fixtures, but it's not over yet.

As long as he can revitalise the squad and get some momentum, there's still a fair chance we can push ourselves up the table which is where we want to be.

I think as long as we start performing in the coming months, the players are behind Silva and more importantly Brands is happy, then he will get next season.

Even if we're in say eighth, ninth or tenth but all the above is met, then I would be surprised if Silva is given the axe.
