Silva is appointed in the summer. He has the pre season to look at our bloated squad. He quickly deals with underperforming/not assed players such as Ramirez, Bolasie, Mirallas, Martina, Williams. He brings in Bernard, Richarlison, Gomez, Zouma , Digne and Mina. All of which have been good signings albeit a little inconsistent.

Results so far have been pretty average, but in patches he has had the team playing some exciting and attacking football.

All this in around 7/8 months. Surely this is progress? Sure, the league table shows us in a poor position, but change needs time. He needs the summer transfer window. We have to trust Brands and Silva. So far their signings have been good.

Can you imagine if we changed the manager now? Instability, confusion, new style of play, new players.

Half time report for me, doesn’t say “ see me” at the bottom in red pen, it says steady start, looking to improve.

We have made 6 good signings in the summer and have gone backwards. But that is not the managers fault lol.

Stop being an Allardyce fan boy, you can't have sat through the second half of last season and gone "Yeah, more of the same please". It was atrocious and he got what he deserved. Now he talks to anyone willing to listen and slags us off at every opportunity.
 
Anyone who expected us to suddenly jump up the table needs their head testing.

Solid start. Bit of a blip. If we finish as well as we started the season it’ll be a successful start to build on.

that fat idiot took us from 13th to 8th with a far worse team that what's available now

the change was needed because of how shockingly bad the football was, I mean marco has brought in some good players, the football is a lot better ( well up until the derby it was ) but end of the day he has got a far better squad than what the table suggests and that's down to him
