I think you need to go back and study managerspeak more closely.

You have to look for what is not said rather than what is said.
He did not say he was committed to Watford and wanted to stay with the club. He did not say he wasn't interested in leaving.

Those are all the things he needed to say ...and didn't.

What he did say was that it was between the two clubs. He covered Everton by saying he had not been approached by them...but what about his agent?

I think we will see movement early next week in this.

If (and big if) Watford let him go (I'm afraid I read no more into yesterday's presser than 'I would be interested but I would need my bosses' blessing, if not, happy to stay'), then you can be absolutely certain there will be watertight no poaching clauses.

These were his signings last summer (ignoring backup frees/loans).

This tells me that even though he may have seen Watford as a 2 year contract stepping stone, he invested in the long term. Koeman of course did the opposite to this which ive been very displeased with.

It also shows a possible preference to build teams with a focus on youth (which we have in abundance).

His teams play to their strengths and play to win...he's used different tactics at each of his clubs.

If he did come in and brought Richarlison with him we could have Lookman, Richarlison and Vlasic as our wide players.

This would be a very exciting appointment.

Silva didn't sign any of these players, coaches/managers don't sign players at Watford it is all done by Gino Pozzo and Scott Duxberry.
There was mention that Silva had some involvement re the Richarlison signing but the club had been tracking the player for over a year.
