I suspect Everton’s owner has ideas of turning Everton into the Man City of Liverpool. Not necessarily immediately winning the league but overturning the perceived balance of power within a city. Whilst everyone here is saying Everton fans are living in the past it wasn’t that long ago that City were merely another game for Man United. Can see why Everton is a very attractive job if they could sort their behind the scenes things out.

Keeping a want away manager is more counter productive than keeping a want away player so I can't see them doing that.

Dont think its down to compo to Watford anymore. They have made it clear they wont play ball. Fair enough. It will need the manager to resign imo, which, whilst fine for us in the short term, kind of sets a precedent if he does ok here.
