I think we’ve set our stall out to get him and can clearly afford him, also we won’t want to lose face by not obtaining him now.

Problem is, we’ll up our bids for him at 25p intervals. Bidding for him will take longer than a Bargain Hunt/Flog It auction.

Yes none of us want another Sigurdsson episode over a manager, could be damaging that to us.

Too much work gone into this now. Watford's statements are not statements of strength, they're the opposite. If they wanted this over they'd just blow the whistle on Everton and report them for tapping up. You saw what happened with Liverpool over VVD in the summer. It ends matters very quickly. But Watford dont want that. They want about £15M compo.
