Not the worst call we have heard so far, not by a long chalk.

This makes me laugh! I remember Southampton fans telling us that Koeman would just use us as a stepping stone to Barcelona! Before that, after one good season everybody was certain we would lose Martinez to Barcelona as well!

Football is a results business with loads of tiers of club sizes. If he comes in and does crap then we will sack him and he'll get a job at a club like Watford again, if he does a good job he could be here a few years, if he does a great job he might be picked up by one of the elite clubs. No point in saying where anyone in football will be in six months time!

Exactly this. The bottom feeders in the league, I.e. Watford, Burnley, Swansea, Southampton etc have to take punts on managers from abroad/lower leagues. If this goes well the likes of us and Spurs can take the cream and if they step up again they go on to mega clubs, if they fail they are sacked and forced to have another go a tier down.
No good moaning about it, we know we will get jibbed off in an instant if Barca, Utd, Chelsea etc come calling in the same way Watford fans if they are being realistic, must know they will be dropped in a flash if we do. Don't fight it.

To put that in perspective, Gary Monk is only 20/1 lol

I have to say the Silva thing is worrying me.

It is like the bookies know sommat and are keeping him at 5/4 to entice the punters.

For god's sake. Pozzos would not employ a dinosaur like Pulis in a million years. Or Pardew. Or BFS. Or even Dyche. I know Watford are minnows, but this is their third season in the PL; the level of ignorance about their operation is breathtaking.

I'm going full circle here but I think the sensible appointment right now would be Dyche, it could take months for Silva to sell his house whereas we are right on Sean's doorstep. Do the right thing Bill, stamp duty has killed the higher end of the housing market. On a lighter note, I never realised how entitled Watford fans are, a couple of seasons in the top flight every twenty years or so and they actually believe they're fit to breathe the same air.
