We won yesterday and sit happily in the top half. Doesn’t seem to be affecting us so badly to be honest.
I think this week is key to whatever will happen.
Watford need certainty about their manager and Everton need exactly the same thing.

I thought Watford were excellent yesterday... albeit against a West Ham team that are low in moral and organisation, in many ways similar to Everton. I think yesterday will have firmed the resolve of both clubs to keep him or to get him and possibly deepens the stalemate.

It is a stalemate because the manager refused to commit to Watford for longer than one day and he could very easily have killed off all speculation yesterday with just a few sentences.

Ultimately , it all comes down to Marco Silva. He will decide what his future will be, contracts are simply for making sure you get compensation rather than tying a player or manager to the club. We know this better than anybody having lost so many of our top players over the last decade or so like Gravesen, Lescott, Lukau and Stones just to name a few.

No, I came out (cue typical homophobic Elton's bum boy jokes) a couple of days ago. It wasn't some subterfuge to take the urine, but experience has shown that if you post as another team's supporter, you generally get dogs', and sensible discussion goes out the window. Just my way of pointing out the Watford position without being told to' f- off back to your southern w-stain of a s-hole'. There are a few thoughtful posters on here whose posts I have enjoyed, but tbh the majority are the same thick-as-mince LOL merchants as you get on any team forum (including ours, but less so). Funny, this trend seems a lot worse on the 'once were great' clubs' boards.
Having a Venkys Everton badge as your profile certainly won't encourage sensible discussion mate.

in regards to Silva, no good for either us or Watford the longer this is drags on, silva needs to make it clear what he wants, if he isn't going to push for the move than fair enough move on and let him get on with it and we can move onto somebody else, or if he does want the job he needs to speak to his board and let them know this as im sure they wouldn't want a half arsed manager in a job
This in a nutshell

Ever consider that Marco is perfectly happy at Watfud, and his apparent reluctance to come out and say it is a conspiracy to keep you managerless for another few weeks? Both for tactical purposes (1 more team in the relegation mix) and as revenge for your arrogance?

I was expecting to log in on my lunch break with some positive news about this.
If he doesn't come in - surely the Pulis shouts are for a 6 month contract to get us out of the mess and look for a suitable replacement in the summer.
I don't think Watford can wait until the summer. They could lose him then and get a fraction of the compensation the can squeeze out of Everton at the moment.

no

1- that would never happen

2 - that would not happen

3 - it wouldnt happen

...looking very decent are Watford, the league doesn’t lie after this many games. It’s a difficult situation with Silva because it sounds condescending and disrespectful to suggest he should leave and join a poorer team.

The assumption, however, is that he wants to leave the Hornets and join the Toffees. All the indications are that this is true. Silva will have his reasons; a larger salary, bigger fan base, long-term attraction, spending power, and Watford’s record with managers might be why.

It’s pointless playing ping pong with posters. The situation is what it is. The problem for Everton and Silva is making the deal happen when you need all 3 parties to agree. If Watford play hard ball, there is very little Everton can do. It would then be up to Silva but much depends on what lengths he’s prepared to go to for it to happen. I doubt any of us know.

It’s certainly not a done deal. I think things will unfurl one way or another over the course of this week.

which is why I said if he wants to stay at Watford he should come out to the press and state this, and put it to bed because from what I have seen he hasn't done anything as such

Indeed.

And I would also think for his portrayal of Frank James in The Long Riders more than American History X

Millennials, eh ;)

Oooh Long riders, now that was a fantastic movie, wasn't it the one where they had all the brothers portrayed by real life acting brothers as well?

Remember the carradines where in it

Unless Pozzo has told him not to...

makes absolutely no sense as to why pozzo would do that

your fans are getting a little edgy and probably want clarification on this ( rightly so ) he could literally end any speculation in 10 seconds by stating I don't want to leave Watford that's the end of it, everyones time is saved
