It shows the board up as being crap. Everyone knows we want Silva so if 5-6 weeks down the line we didn't get him and he went elsewhere who had since sacked their manager then there would be a lot more questions asked of the board in the media .

That's a good post mate, and it's true what you say about people maybe being unfair to Dyche.

I think to be fair to Silva though, it's worth pointing out that he took over a Hull side with 1 clean sheet in 20 games last season (and none in their last 18 games), and managed to keep 4 in the remaining 18 games. He's then taken over a Watford side which kept 7 clean sheets last year and has kept 4 in the first 12 games of this one. It does seem that he has the ability to make defensive improvements.

I'm not saying that Silva is awful or even poor defensively. I don't think he is.

I just think that the current batch of players we currently had may be more suited to Dyche than Silva.

I wasn’t trying to be a smart arse, just genuinely wanted to know if you went, and I agree with you, some fans can’t get the game for different reasons.
