Some lad on nsno forums saying Silva is still first choice one more push Monday. Seems a bit mad if true can't see it happening right now.

Re: Who should we go for?

Just been told that the O'Neill stuff is bollocks, Silva is still number one of the list, we're gonna have one more go to try and get him, Moshiri was prepared to wait until the summer to get him and leave Unsworth in charge but thats out of the window now, basically gonna tell Silva's representatives that its now or never in the hope he will tell Watford he wants to leave, failing that it will be Dyche who is extremely keen to speak to us, nobody else on the list."

Ha, you think??? Man City are only good because they’ve bought good players...

I wasnt having a pop, I was saying that part of Watfords good form is down to clever recruitment, none of which Silva has much to do with from my understanding.

Of course it takes a good manager to get the best out of players, as I said, it wasnt a dig at Silva at all.

But that wasn’t @MoutsGoats point. He referred to Silva being immaterial to Watford’s results as we have bought well. For a team to perform they need to have 4 things: a decent squad, a decent manager, confidence and luck. Silva is integral to how we are currently performing

It came out wrong, I agree with you, its the whole package, my point is that Silva is NOT the sole reason.

Didn't yous do the same under Flores?

He's someone I rate btw but I can't see the difference between him and Silva.

Shocking if we do ....Although after the Koeman saga and the Gylfi saga ...we shouldn't be surprised.

Both Flores and Zola came in and introduced really exciting, attacking football (with little regard to our defensive capabilities). This worked for a while but when the goals dried up/other teams figured us out/injuries kicked in then there was no plan b.

Just feels that this season we have far greater strength in our squad and Silva really appears to have got them working for a cause

Remember, our expectations are less than your own. If we had a season where there was no realistic looking over our shoulders, a real chance of top 10 and an outside chance of a fantasy European road trip then that would keep every one of us (away from the armchairs) very, very happy

I Could laugh at this in regards of you replying to yourself but I won't ...Yes money buys the best players but the best players don't automatically win . The best teams win and they don't necessarily have to have the best players !

Just to add it’s also very much about how you spend the money

This is no way meant to be a look at us but Watford got Zeegelaar, Hughes, Femenia, Richarlison, Chalobah, Doucoure and Pereyra for the same price as Sigurdsson

They are the heart beat of our team

Yes the same way we bought Coleman, Jags, Arteta and Cahill all for reasonable/bargain ammounts back then.

They only have to get another 19 points now to get safe for the season.

Time for Wartford to let go of Silva.

They'll get the £100M on offer next season in the PL and a massive pay off from Everton for a manager who they know will leave them in the summer for a lot less.

If you are at all a rational thinker then you come to an accommodation with Everton now.

Not denying you did well in the market for a club your size. Also no point denying we did the exact opposite for a club our size. Do think though that the majority of the players you named would struggle to make that impact at Everton. Same as Cleverley seems to do well for you lads, but was deeply out of his depth at Everton. Same goes for Williams, who was the star player and a bit of a demi god to the Swans fanbase. Turned out to be one of our worst buys in recent history imo. Sigurdsson probably another example, although I hope he will eventually come good for us.

The pressure to perform at Everton is just so much higher at Everton than at Watford. Not that you should care, as long as these players get the result for your team.
