This is true about the squad but hasn't Silva only been at Watford for five minutes? Unlike Dyche who has been at Burnley for year's that makes him easier to steal, just like we did Koeman. Besides I'm sure we will ££££ him large which will more then make up for having to sort a mess out

Listen he's an up and coming manager not the friggin messiah. His rep is the most valuable thing he has.

Except that's exactly what you are doing.

Unless something radically changes at your club I seriously doubt he's still interested after what I've just watched ... With one or two exceptions you need a whole new squad

Oh of course that's how it works! He's just like a fan!

I don't think Silva could do a thing with this squad, and I'm struggling to think of any manager that could.

Whoever we get needs to somehow organise this team into not conceding goals because I can't see us scoring, and short of picking every available defender at the club and creating a new "10" formation, I'm not sure how that's gonna happen.

Come January, we need to buy 3/5's of a new defensive unit (assuming Coleman returns firing on all cylinders), a new midfield, and at least 1 top class striker, and gel them all together while juggling the usual January fixture pile up.

The only good thing is that after years of being disillusioned and heartbroken by team after team of disappointing [Poor language removed], I'm finally at a stage where I'm apathetic to the whole thing. The thought of relegation in the 90s scared and upset me. Right now, I don't think I really care.

Thing is money talks mate, if we treble his wages it's hard to say no thanks, we stepped in and took Koeman, and Southampton didn't like it, it happens and has happened to us in the past

Umm Ok, good luck with that.

The release price has just gone up to £40m ... and even then it's up to Marco if he even wants the job.

Silva wants the job mate. He's made lads like Cleverley look decent players, so I'm sure he'd do ok with our lot.

Watford understandably don't want to let him go. They won't let us have Silva out of pity, which appears to be the strategy of the board currently.

Fan apathy destroyed Aston Villa , they were the same. Had one really bad season and the fans just stopped caring.

It spread around the club and the next season they went down with a whimper. Over the last 20 years they’ve been roughly the same level give or take a few positions either way, and we have no more a divine right to make anything out of this than they did.

What happens in January if we spend £30m on another Michael Keane? Spend £30m on Marco Silva and then he takes us down like he did Hull?

We’re in a bona-fide grade A crisis, we just lost 5-1 with a full side at home to a team that can’t win away, our team look like they don’t want to be there and have no redeeming features. If apathy sets in from the fans , we’re done. Totally finished. We’ll go down and stay down.

Time for heads to be wobbled

Southampton have a board but we have Gino Pozzo .... your chances of getting Silva are very, very slim.

Today and thursday has changed my opinion on solva completely. He is not defensive therefore we dont need him. We need to sort out our defence and this man wont do that with these frauds

The problem is that it is getting too late for Silva we cannot afford a long drawn out tug of war with Watford while our team continues to struggle.

We need to act now and if Silva isn't prepared to make it happen then forget about him, let him rot in Watford and move on.
I would bring in Allyrdyce and if that means a two year contract then so be it.
