Because frankly, practically every manager poached from another club - follows this exact same route mate.

IF they where intransigent then their CEO would have done the 'press briefing' about him not being available

They will be pressers tomorrow so then silva will surely be asked ... But he's not going to say Yearh I'm of to Everton but he could always say I'm willing to stay on there other hand

We're has he? Because the media said? Mate you can't believe everything in the papers as they change there story to suit them. In hyperthetically speaking he should want to come to us over Watford as the prospects are far bigger. But you never know he could say no....

Oh God mate, after tomorrow it will be very clear where this is gonna end up, anything short of him saying he is no interest and does not welcome/is unwilling to listen to any offer will be a clear indication that he wants to move - and if he wants to move then ultimately they will let him go for the right amount of compensation, as you can't have a manager whose basically lifted his skirt at another club, it'd be effectively wrecking their season to do so.

Of course he s said he wants to come or we would never have bothered contacting watford. His side of the deal is probably already done. Hopefully it ll get done. My first choice tho ANY apppointment comes with risk

Morning all, Watford fan here.

So it sounds like this is still rumbling on, I imagine if anything was going to happen it has to happen either today or tomorrow? I'm surprised you offered 8.5 million for him considering he's pretty inexperienced and has only been with us and Hull at the top level. A few things I've noticed that you may not be aware of, his persistence of zonal marking at corners has lead to us repeatedly conceding goals, which teams are starting to pick up on. He constantly makes baffling tactical changes, even when winning. His substitutions have been simply awful at times as well (2-2 against Chelsea and you take Deeney off Ben Watson!?!?!)

Personally I'm not overly fussed if he leaves, he'll be a good manager one day but at the moment he's bang average (and massively overated) which suits a club of Watford's stature but not so sure he'd be on your level, if that makes sense.

Let's hope this is wrapped up either way by the end of today so we can both get on with our seasons!

Why do people thing this may still happen given that we've been refused permission by Watford and there's no signs of Silva kicking up a stink there?
All things not happening in puplic spotlight. Watford puplic response is a stress call. Things happening behind the scenes...remember how Saints went crazy in the media when we took their 'untouchable' manager.

A word of caution from around our way this morning - it’s been suggested that our owners are hot in finding a trail if indeed Silva has been contacted by people connected with Everton. If that is found, you can be sure that a statement will be made and the FA contacted as with L’Pool/Saints/VVD in the summer. Obviously, that’s going to hard evidence to find though in this day and age as it happens on 99% of deals in football I should imagine...

Two things though - and this just from a WFC perspective - to the lad/lass above who has stated that’s Silva has stated ‘publically’ he wants to join you? Where has he done that? Seems a bit silly to just make things up to suit your own agenda. As some of your fellow EFC fans have stated, I think this will all come out in the wash at the pressers tomorrow. No doubt we have told Silva to say he’s not interested and draw a line under it. If he says anything less than that, you can probably take that as his public escalation that he’s interested.

A few of you seem certain this will happen. It may well do. But it feels slightly different to similar instances before where it’s seemed only a matter of time. Nobody has said anything official. It could be because negotiations are ongoing - or it could be that we have turned you down flat and Moshiri doesn’t want that known publically given the way it’s been handled so far. If Silva’s head had been truly turned since Monday, he would have been stood down from taking training with us - and he hasn’t been.

Sometimes I sit yeah
Feeling alone
No one to talk to
I got no telephone
And at night I wake up
I just lie and stare
Come on and save me from this nightmare

Hi Ho Silver
Here come the lone ranger
He's riding on down
To rescue me

I know the road I must take
With a wink of my eye
I leave old friends behind like old alibi
I'll take all they throw against me
I make a stand
For truth and justice and for the common man

Hi Ho Silver
Here come the lone ranger
He's riding on down
To rescue me

And I guess it took some time
For me to decide
If you were just my hero or my friend
Watching with my innocent eyes
Your silver stallion ride
Across my room I listen as they cried

Lyrics are somewhat fitting given our predicament
Would be great if we are singing this at the end of the season...

And it’s been said on here that Silva bases his team around a solid defence and isn’t really that attacking. You saw our ‘solid’ defence at close quarters just over a week ago. Take it from a WFC season ticket-holder - so far, in his 11 games, he is attacking and we play in a ‘we’ll just have to score more than you’ manner. It isn’t really his fault as our squad is filled with far better attackers than it is defenders. But I can assure you, our team is not built on a solid defence and that isn’t Silva’s strong point at present.

'Pleasetakesilva'? Love it.
But no thanks. As far as I'm concerned you can keep the over-hyped no mark

I think most of that is very sensible.
The only bit I would disagree with is him being stood down from taking training. This would almost completely destroy Watford's negotiating
power because it would admit that he is finished with the club. Watford will take the stance that he is very much part of their future and force Everton to pay more, if Everton are genuinely interested and as yet we have seen very little confirmation of that from reliable sources.

In the last two weeks we have been on the point of announcing Allyrdyce, Dyche and Unsworth as manager if you were to believe what you read.

Watford fans are beginning to turn on him:

Fark off, Silva. You slimy flash git, foreign ponce with your slappy wet baby's arse face.

See how in demand you are after the Everton job takes you down a peg, and the world knows you've got no loyalty or professional integrity.

Just fark right off you smarmy turd of a man.

Confirms my fears.
