An article now on The Mirror’s website written by Mike Walters - a WFC supporting journalist with contacts well within the top echelons at the club, much like this Joyce guy at the Times for EFC.

Basically saying what I said in an earlier post - WFC are seriously considering reporting EFC for ‘tapping up’
Silva. Guessing you don’t consider doing that unless you have some evidence otherwise the PL or whoever would dismiss it out of hand. If that happens, I’d say your chase is up.

That looks awfully like the article two years running saying Swansea where threatening to do the same over our pursuit of first Williams then Sigurdsson, it's called a bargaining tool, i.e. pay us a lot more money than you're offering now

To be fair, I’ve been nothing but balanced in all the posts I’ve made on here about the situation. It’s always comical when a few fans with heightened senses of grandeur pipe up. Classing yourselves as ‘sharks’ and us as ‘no marks’...I’d say this season has shown you’re drowning so far as a ‘shark’ - as much as I don’t think it will last. It’s your board so I won’t get into some senseless argument about silly comments. Good luck in your chase for Silva...beginning to think you’ll need a lot of it.

Watford are the definition of no marks. A club who absolutely no one would miss one bit if they were permanently relegated to the conference south. Not even the people of your jarg cockney town would care, where Watford are about the 6th biggest club behind Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, West Ham, United and Luton Town.

If we want your manager we take your manager. Dont make this harder for yourselves than it needs to be.

Prolly cos all the "better" managers are still laughing at our approach.
We also must take into account that the right manager on paper, isn't necessarily the right manager. Koeman was a good example. Hopefully this works out well and we find our "Pochettino".

I still dont think Koeman was a bad manager, just a very strange series of events unravelled his poor brain and we hit the panic button, thats not to say he should have remained, he must carry the can for our dreadful transfer business in this summer.

I do understand that Everton are bigger, with a greater history and a larger fan base. I have no issue with that and I’d be stupid to state otherwise. It’s the talk of ‘sharks’ and ‘no marks’ which I found humorous! And this situation has happened many times before so maybe we will end up on the wrong side of it - ce la vie if that’s the case, I won’t be crying over it. I’d be sad to see him go but that’s the game now.

And as I’ve said, I’d be embarrassed if we went to the PL with newspaper cuttings saying he’s been tapped up. But we do have savvy owners, so IF there is any evidence of genuine misdoings, they’ll be on to it. Southampton have showed with VVD and Liverpool that the club with the greater scope doesn’t always get what they want. Not saying that will happen here, but with my knowledge of how WFC do business, it’s not as cut and dried as him being on the verge of joining as some are saying regardless of how much shade you want to throw at us or your victories against us in our shared history.
Don't take it personally mate. Our fans tempt karma every day.

Don’t quote The Mirror please lads, they hate us and threaten legal action.

You cannot compare an illegal approach for a player the same as you can trying to get a manager off a club, completely different things mate, try sitting a manager out because he wants to move the way you can do to a player, see how that works out for you really.

The best case scenario for you right now is being left with a manager who took a minimum of 4-5 days to comment on rumours stating he wanted to leave, which effectively means he does in fact want to leave - no matter what words he now speaks - because otherwise he'd have already made a statement to the effect it's rubbish.

Whatever now happens, Silva is done at your club, because the entire dressing room now knows the manager wants to go (hence a player coming out begging him to stay today), you reckon they will all still buy into 'the project' when they know the person selling it to them wants out himself?

Our terms are simple - hand over Silva, and every copy of Z-Cars in Vicarage Road.
