West Ham got legged by at least 2 different managers. Maybe just maybe the board want Brands to have final say and do the due diligence on Silva before he comes in

June 1st. Then the World Cup friendlies start up a day or so later and any targets we may have out of that lot will be tied up for a month.

Brands can give his ok right now. He doesn't need a coronation to get out the way to start.

are we saying if Silva comes in this week, then its all on Moshiri, as officially Brands and DBB dont start till june 1st

That last line is amazing. I’ve never heard a club come out and say ‘our new manager won’t be here longer than a few seasons’
It's another edition of amateur night.

I can sense already that this managerial search has gone tits up. The 'kin idiots running this club are beyond belief.

Yes we are
And then sacked him when he failed
He sacked Sam as well and I’m sure you know he sacked Bobby as well
Get over it Dave
Bobby is happier now and so are most of us
Is he planning to hire any good people?

You obviously see sacking people as a badge of honour for him. It is't. It means he's too stupid to hire quality.

Why is Marco Silva's hiring taking so long?
He is a coach without a club and if he is the first option, I do not understand why this takes so long ...

Everton could confirm Marco Silva as new boss next week
Last Updated: 22/05/18 4:48pm

Marco Silva could be confirmed as Everton's new manager as early as next week, Sky Sports News understands While several candidates remain under consideration, Silva is understood to be Everton's first choice to replace Sam Allardyce. Arsenal's pending appointment of Unai Emery and Paulo Fonseca's decision to extend his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk has seen two possible rivals for the role ruled out of contention.

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri hopes to appoint the former Watford boss on a long-term deal, which would see him take the club into its new 55.500-seater stadium. The club is expected to move into the £500m development at Bramley Moore Dock in time for the start of the 2022-23 season.

There is consensus across the Everton board room over the planned hire, with newly appointed Director of Football Marcel Brands a known admirer of Silva's work. Silva impressed while narrowly failing to keep Hull City in the Premier League after taking over in January 2017 and was rewarded with an immediate return to the Premier League by Watford
.

....well just hire him then FFS.

Baxendale? Lol. That's like saying Elstone was ket to managerial decision making. Brands doesn't start his job until June.
Well that's what the OS and the Echo are saying Dave.

Everton Director, Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale, said: “I’m very much looking forward to working closely with Marcel whose experience in the areas of player recruitment and development pathways for young players has forged an outstanding reputation in European football. I know that Marcel will bring an unsurpassed level of quality and prowess to his work at Everton.

“Chief among my priorities is to structure and resource our Club to enable us to fully achieve our ambitions. We will work alongside Marcel on the recruitment of a new manager, which is now our biggest focus.”

Marcel replaces Steve Walsh who joined the Club in July 2016. Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale added: “On behalf of the Board and Mr Moshiri, I’d also like to express our thanks to Steve Walsh, our first ever Director of Football, who has now left the Club. We all wish Steve well for his future.”

What do you make of that?

oh my god who cares when he gets appointed, have a day off, Not like he's gonna call in the first team for a get together and a quick training session.
