I’m getting worried now seems the only options moyes or Hughes don’t know how much more I can take.sky sports saying Everton considering changing their manager??does this mean in other words they’ve not got a clue what they are doing

Nah the midfield is crap and doesn’t create chances, put Aguero in our team and we wouldn’t score.
I disagree. I'm not a DCL hater as he tries hard and I don't think you should ever fault a footballer for being picked and trying hard, but we all comment on how he's missed sitters and not got into good positions. Add a decent striker and given we're only 4 points of sixth (yet 4 points of relegation zone)... we'd be having a very different season.

Love how the club is acting with the same sense of urgency as Silva waiting until the game is lost to make a sub.

Waiting for the Everton app notification to pop up like it was deadline day, here.

We should be nowhere near Moyes but after we appointed BFS I wouldn’t rule it out. We should be hurling bags of cash at Pochettino, and if that doesn’t work I’d sooner take a punt on some unknown Euro maverick from Marcel’s little black book than Eddie flippin’ Howe.

If / when he goes I will have some sympathy as the xg stats suggest if we converted the chance she that sh I'll be converted things would look very different.

We are a consistent finisher away from being much further up the table.

Doesn't excuse the set piece weaknesses etc.

not having the Howe links at all, if so we are just going to end up with another Silva situation 12 months down the line

the feller has done well at Bournemouth, very well

but his teams can't defend and every single year they go through massive spells of inconsistency, what's even the point

would honestly rather have moyes on a short term deal than giving howe a big contract

never in a million years are we going to compete at the top end hiring managers like we are

I've defended Silva to the end, mainly because the stats pointed to us being unlucky and I thought he could turn it around. However, that game was lost with the starting line up on Saturday. His subs felt like a man who was out of ideas. But above all that, he has lost the match going fan base now and the board need to make a change.

Problem with the euro maverick option is our current place in the table and the upcoming fixture list.

No one at the club will want to gamble with premier league status. That's the foundation stone on which their entire future strategy rests.

Howe, another manager with a low scoring accomplishments record, who could get away with murder at a lower level club with zero expectations. Has never been met with the expectations of 38’000 expecting homes wins on an almost weekly basis. Or a board of directors expecting regular European football. Never had to deal with a dressing room of prima donnas who expect to start each week despite their form. Has never been given millions to play around with, although having seen how much he was willing to pay for the two ex-redshuite players I’d be terrified of what he would do here with money at his disposal. Not worth the risk at all with him and it’s a no from me.

Exactly this. Howe has given Liverpool £60-70m to buy the biggest load of nonsense! I mean Solanke is probably worse than DCL, and that is some going!
We need a winner, a proven winner who wont be in awe or a rabbit in headlights at our ambition.

We shouldn't even be considering Moyes stinks of Kenwrights nostalgic determination

We need some magical man that Marcel has had on the back burner since he arrived. Wouldn't be suprised if he has been praying for Marco to lose the support of the club so he can install his own guy

...I’ve said for a long time, manager considerations should be an agenda item at Board meetings at least once per quarter. Brands should update the Board on possible global candidates so at least they are prepared when something like this happens.

i imagine this mornings ‘leak‘ is a placeholder to suggest we are making enquiries to gauge availability. It leaves Silva in an untenable position.

Also, I don’t get the ‘interim’ manager tag. I doubt anybody will sign a contract for less than 2 years. I have no idea who the new manager should be, but I would be concerned with Howe.
