I don't know of any blues who want us to go out against Sheffield Wednesday.

I think JUST as big of a problem as those doom merchants
are the ones who cannot accept any suggestion of poor performance or mismangement and shout down anyone with any opinion other than their own.

I can assure you it is not anywhere near as big a problem.

Alright, I'll take the bait on this..

Those results happened during an obvious blip in City's season and happened relatively close to each other. They recovered well where, admitedly, Liverpool drew one away game too many in the end and ultimately cost them the league. Since then, as I've already said, Liverpool have won 14 games in a row since then and aren't showing signs of dropping anything again anytime soon..

Those kind of results should also, always been seen as a 'blip' for us.. but they arent, simply because we're all too capable of consistently faltering where we really shouldn't be.

Where those Palace and Toon results where an obvious shock for City - they'd have just been waved off as 'Everton that' for us and that honestly annoys the hell out of me.

What you’re essentially saying here is you wish we were on City’s level. Well yes, we all do.

I could name them on here mate, it`s the same few posters every time.

Most of them have me on ignore, so it serves no purpose in naming them, but everyone knows who they are.

They`re not hard to spot really.

We`ve gone through a period of transition and relative instability since Moyes left and at some point we`ve got to give a manager a chance / time.

Most of us would`ve liked a " big name " manager, but we are what we are, a team that aspires to break into the top six / top four and no " big name " manager was ever going to come here as a result of this.

So we ended up with Silva, who we needed to give a chance / time to sort out the mess left behind by others and build his own team with Brands - which he`s not far off doing now.

Once he has achieved this he will live and die by his results.

He isn`t at this point yet and until he is, he needs time and patience from the fans to see if he can get us there.

If not, he gets the bullet.

I’m not being facetious. I’m genuinely interested to know why you think we have a divine right to beat 12 or so teams home and away in this league every season when even the very best can’t do it.
Then why are Liverpool doing it? do they have a 'divine right' to be beating even more than the '12 or so' teams you've suggested that they actually have been??

Question mate - when is the next time you geniuely see them dropping points? City? :coffee:

No mate, they just happen to be a very very good team with some of the best players around and the second best manager in the world in charge. If it was as simple as you’re saying then they’d have been doing it every single other season.

Support, yes. Always support.

But, you can't have a discussion about anything if anything resembling criticism is met with irrational, defensive, aggression.

1. Didn't say that.
2. Not a multi.
3. Haven't mentioned the Villa game.
Christ, you've gotta have some thick skin in here if you have a difference of the fan boy opinion...

Why is it wishing to be on 'City's level' to expect not to get beaten by Palace and Newcastle at home mate?

Because City and Liverpool seem to be the only two examples you can think of. You’re clearly demanding us to be something that we’re nowhere near.

Absolutely this...

Absolutely f'ing not.

If we seriously can't expect, as a football team, to be beating the sides in the bottom third of the table consistently, season after season, with any other outcome being seen as an unexpected 'freak' result happening once in a blue moon.. then where are we actually heading? how are we going to improve? how are we going to eventually hit top 4? how are we ever going to be considered a 'top' side again?
