In normal times I agree - however a supporter should also be willing to do what they can to ensure the long term health of the club.

Right now we have a clueless owner, backed by a proven failure of a chairman, backed by a DOF happy with how the current underperforming manager is misusing £200 million worth of signings at a time the club is posting record losses.

All at a time we hang above the relegation spots - make no mistake todays statement by Brands should have fans furious. Brands should be seething not happy and spouting rubbish about fire in the eyes of players who are the most spineless group of players at the club in decades.

People need to wake up and fast.
Can I have you ST then? You already paid for it but ur not going so I’ll have it

How can he claim that he doesn't lose sleep over this predicament ? If I was underperforming at work , it would be on my mind all of the time . Mind you if I got the boot I wouldn't get a massive compo payout . Not even a card .

Seeing as you're comparing him to yourself...how would you explain yourself to the public if they were asking "how are you sleeping"...

Because showing weakness means you demotivate your staff watching.

How on earth can he be expected to motivate the players when everyone including himself is aware he’s not actually wanted as manager by anyone.

...and yet every possible media source who has commented on this has stated, quite clearly, that the players are behind him.

Now Brands is behind him.

haha Brands is behind him? thats a good one. remember these headlines from 4 days ago, where its clear that he is only in the role because they have no alternatives and Unsworth is a joke

will this do then? not that it matters, because your real reason is to try and avoid the point being made by attacking the messenger.

As regards this specific manager, many sources say the main reason Silva hasn’t been sacked yet is because the club haven’t agreed upon a replacement.

Being defined as a supporter surely means supporting your club through bad times as well as good times?
We support the team regardless of the personalities on the pitch or in the boardroom.
If we choose to withdraw that support we automatically lose the right to be regarded as a supporter since we are patently not ‘supporting’ the club in any way.
There are thousands of supporters who follow clubs who have won next to nothing in their entire history , yet they will continue to travel across the country to cheer their teams in all weathers, win or lose.
That is the definition of being a supporter not turning your back when times get tough.
(Of course , if we ever appoint FSW I’ll be off meself , well we all have our limits I suppose)
I'm not sure that I fully agree with that mate.

If you deliberately withdraw your support to try to effect change ( as opposed to not being arsed about going ) then you are still very much a supporter of the club.

Voting with their feet is pretty much what Arsenal fans did in the week for the Europa Cup match and they achieved their desired outcome.

Sometimes only something dramatic causes those in charge of the club to take action.

Moyes will come in, I'm pretty sure.

a) Silva is manager in name only, and surely can't survive beyond next Thursday.
b) They are unable to get anyone of any repute in, and have probably known that for weeks.
a+b = David Moyes. 6 month interim with option of 2 year extension.

I don't get the Moyes shout. Ok, Bill the BFF will be watery eyed in wanting Moyes back but lets be honest, Moyes won nothing, has been fired at every job since and at UTD he kind of belittled Everton and tried to unsettle the players he wanted to sign.

Forget the past, look forward. However, this club is ridiculous so they're bound to make another daft appointment
