2019/20 Marco Silva

This isn't mediocrity.
Have to disagree.
Kenwright has been peddling mediocrity for far too long and getting away with it.
But the PL has changed a lot.
and mediocrity will quickly and easily find itself on a slippery slope to the Championship...its just a matter of time

There are two solutions
1. find the fix, then the next one and the next one, and hope the stumbles in between won't involve relegation
2. build something more substantial.

There's no way I'd sack Silva unless Brands (not Moshiri et al) has got someone he believes will start building things properly.

Silva is not the man to do it, but the club as a whole can still turn this season around (ie get out of relegation), with or without Silva.

The first half against Lecicester was encouraging and a departure from the delusions we have been seeing.

Then Silva lost the plot again
The change in the game by the way, was the space opening up between our two lines and handing Leicester the initiative, up until then we had their measure and the lead,
Silva not only handed it to Leicester on a plate, he encouraged his players to open up the space further, and willed them on again once Leicester had levelled.
But the fact it started without a press, and we drew them on gives hope that things will change.

Two things can be concluded from this:
1. Someone must of had a word to Silva about what he needs to be doing, and will clearly have to again...until he gets it.
2. Its incredible that he hasn't lost the players by now, and that's to their credit (not his).

If the Brands needs time to get the right manager in then so be it.
At least then we can stop this rubbish about whose fault it will be - it'll be on him

We are 4 weeks from the window, so we need a new man to come in now and look at what players he has and see what positions he needs new blood for. What is the point of waiting until the window to sack Silva and then having no time left in the window to get in new players. Knowing our board we will just end up panic buying at the end of Jan.

....we really don’t know that’s the case, Dave. I’m sure he has the final say but I imagine the recommendations come from those he relies upon. I do agree, though, that he is ultimately accountable for Manager and DoF appointments.

Folk as successful as him in business are often only as good as the people who work for them. He will be reliant on others. I‘d be amazed if he’s going solo on this recruitement.
Carried bags of cash around for a gangster. As far as I;m concerned he's a bufoon.

Silva + Brands is an error....any manager + any DoF is an error for that matter.

I can guarantee that if Everton had no DoF in the last 3 years this squad after spending close to half a billion would be miles better.

There hasnt been a single trophy won in the last 10 years by any team in world football that doesnt emply a DoF or somebody who performs that role.

There’s not been a word from the Chief executive of the club or the owner. Silva has been left to front up the entire thing himself. No doubt when he is eventually put out of his misery Moshiri will do 5 minutes on the Jim White show and there’ll be a two line statement on the official site.

DBB has disappeared from the day she took office. Feels massively out of depth. Planning application was supposed to be in before the end of the year. There’s about 15 working days until then and we’ve not heard a word on it.

The media have been gunning for Moise Kean for weeks, has anyone at Everton said a word to champion our long term investment? No.

From top to bottom we are a complete shambles. There’s a complete void of leadership. No top manager will touch us with a barge pole with these clowns running the show.
Look who the carpetbagger surrounds himself with: a chugger, a luvvy hanging around like a bad smell, a DoF who accepts his choice for manager, an architect who lives in America and an office errand boy called Chongy to 'run' the stadium scheme.

FFS, people need to wake up and smell the coffeee here. MOSHIRI IS A DISASTER FOR EVERTON. Look whre we are after he's been in charge for 3 years: jumping up and down on the trap door for the second season in three.

"Guarantee"? You can prove this? Can I borrow that special machine you have, so that I can see what you see? It would be amazing to be able to see alternative realities as you can.

Think you're forgetting Ronald Koeman was our manager and we had Allardyce for over half a season.

This in spades. The only hope we have is a system/manager that means Moshiri has no decision making on the football side if we are to move forward.

You could spend £500 million on better players than the rubbish we have right now...couldn't you?

By and large, a manager will spend money more wisely. He knows the blend he wants, and he wouldn't have to deal with some clueless agents puppet to get him his players.
