surely not true.... firstly, this is an 'expected loss' so he gets a free pass (in fact all the December games are). Secondly, the decision to fire him is not going to be based on one result - even our board is not that shallow, thirdly we would be proving ourselves idiots (again) if we did not learn from the Koeman action, never fire a failing coach unless you have a potentially successful one ready to take over.
All this talk of one game at a time is nonsense!!
Silva will get fired when his replacement is ready to step in.

Fair comment...and I have to say, very noble of Silva, if he's been told he's going 'but not yet', to stay and do his best until he goes. Always thought he was honourable, at least.

I really hope he's not been told gone but not yet, any enthusiasm and motivation for the job in hand would be gone.

Just shows how crap the quality outside of the RS and Man City is mate. We've played 14 games, 4 wins, 2 draws and 8 loses, and as you mention, only 6 pts off 5th, meh.

To be entirely fair to Marco, I don't believe that would affect him. He's just not doing well. He's not shrinking away from managing, however poorly it may be done.

It's for my lad macca, he's at John Moores Uni doing sports science and football, they're going on a day trip to Finch Farm next week but have to make their own way there, and I can't remember what buses go where now from town it's been that long.

There is a case of a fair few million in a pay off for him, and nothing if he decided to walk out, so it is very honourable and noble of him to hang around for that pay off.
