It doesn't hurt anything like what it used too. Genuinely.

My father passing away, my wife's mother getting seriously ill, and my sons autism have more than put life in perspective.

Watching Everton should be escapism and a release from day to day stresses.

They make things worse tenfold.

I just find the game as a whole dull now.
I will always be an Everton fan whether I like it or not. But I am not a football/soccer fan. I think the game is in terminal decline, as it chases even more outlandish fees from tv abroad.
I feel for you, and it's no good saying we all have burdens like that which dwarf the footy side, because each of ours are personal and the most keenly felt by us. But Everton and their travails are still a major part of our identity. It still cuts deep.

Bad tonight that was Connor. I put up Davies and DCL's stats in another thread, we've essentially put up with a seriously horrific everton for about 90 games. I think that felt like a tipping point, and not just for Silva.

I will back TD because, although frandly, your campaign against him hurts to see at times.

But, he was horrendous tonight. He's looked very, very poor in the last two games. But he is pulling dead weight in that Iceberg edition.

Silva is done for. Thanks for trying Marco, but it ain't working.

You are completely right with that mate. Tbh I think I need to take a step back from it all. Not healthy for me to invest so much negative energy into something I can´t control.

One of the reasons I post on here is the community. Loads of good people on here.

It's to easy to believe the world is against you and everything is hellish. Blaming yourself and being angry because some millionaires didn't jump at a corner.

Never let it become too important. Everyone of us on here will have believed the idea that this game is somehow more important than life and death. That is how the money moguls in charge want you to think. I could never have named a football agent 25 years ago, now they are bigger stars than the players they 'represent'.

Always good to take a step back and see just exactly what it is that you are putting your heart and soul into.

But it's not baseless if it's backed up with 90 games of evidence, that's what frustrates me. That's established delivery.

And now it is supposed to be Moyes / Cahill, so we are going down.
