2019/20 Marco Silva

Moshiri is hardly travelling to Liverpool to tell Marco Silva that he isn't being sacked. I think it is inevitable that the manager will leave today.

The glimmer of hope I have about our next manager has been how successful the club has been at limiting information to the media at just about everything including transfers.
I am hoping, but not confident, the Moyes stories are based on nothing more than guesses from the media.
I think the club may also have learned from the last costly mistake when chasing Silva while he was still at Watford.

I think the first requirement for the next manager is that he has won something worthwhile on more than one occasion in his career.

He's currently meeting Leon Osman to discuss his managerial appointment. 8 mil a year.....

That is because the decision has already been made in their opinion. Perhaps you missed the sentence directly after it were it says they are having a conference call to discuss it all.

"There is expected to be a conference call involving majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri – who did not attend Wednesday’s Merseyside derby defeat away to Liverpool – chairman Bill Kenright, chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale and director of football Marcel Brands. Former Everton manager David Moyes is the most likely appointment to succeed Silva with one of his former players, Tim Cahill, returning as his assistant."

And the sentence a little further down:

"Silva is understood to be resigned to his fate, should he be sacked today, following the 5-2 defeat at Anfield which dropped Everton into the relegation places."

Like i said, nowhere in that article does it say that Silva is set to keep his job.

The key word here is "should he". Just because there is a conference call doesn't automatically mean a sacking decision. If you are going to perform a momentous task like sacking a manager then there have to be a face to face board meeting discussing various options.

It is probably like this atm: All agreed to sack Silva, but Moshiri wanted to bring Moyes in. Brands protested and vetoed that move. Now he is trying to convince rest of the board to keep Silva in charge TILL they get someone they all agree to lead the club. Internal fight happening as we speak.

If this scenario plays out we are being relegated.

Nope, the key words here are that nowhere in that article does it say that Silva is set to keep his job as you clearly stated in your post. You were making it up probably to do a bit of wumming would be my guess.
