I felt differently about him after the Newcastle 3-2 away. It was an absolute shambles in game management. I really really want him to succeed though. Hard to be positive about him after today. I don’t think he knows his best starting line up, it was like this at the start of last season.
If he doesn’t change to system to 433 and drop siggurdsson or try Iwobi/Bernard in the 10 role. And bring sidibe in a RB. He will be getting his p45 pretty soon imo.

Bernard is the best footballer at the club and surely there must be a place for him in that side.

That's simply not true.

Unfortunately he's only effective in areas of the field which don't hurt the opposition. He was lovely and neat in possession but he's absolutely terrible in the final third.

He's a good footballer but he's not effective.

we have weakened our team over the transfer window ,. by losing guye (whos basically irreplaceable) AND Zouma

we now don't have gueys level of defensive cover infront of a frail CB pairing who ZERO competition for their starting spots.. which breeds complatency.

Silva is not the sort of manager / coach to change things up and get the best out of these players. he seems to have the personality of a traffic cone.

I think we will be in the bottom 3 around Christmas, looking at how weve played from the start this season we just don't look anywhere near a team or unit. and our better players seem to be having a form crisis right from the get go ??? why the hell is that?

I agree to an extent but there's absolutely no danger of the bottom three.

We will ALWAYS get results at home, like the other week vs wolves. We are too strong a home team but certainly under this manager 8th is the ceiling.

You can't have your kecks regularly pulled down by the likes of villa, palace and Bournemouth away from home and hope for anything more.

I got shot down with claims of an `agenda` last season on MS. Funny again we are conceding from set pieces, something that follows MS to every club. Once again we cant win away from home. Again more poor performances like in our bad run last season.

I remain unconvinced but we kept him for the end of last season, when he seemed to turn it around and we done very well results wise, so naturally we need to give him time this. Especially whilst bedding in new players, but how long is too long? Everton once again stand on the edge of another wasted, dare I say transitional season.

Today just seemed reminiscent of so many poor games last season where we are left baffled by team selection, tactics, substitutions, attitudes - feel free to add anything else!

I wouldnt give him to Xmas if its not working, if I was the one in charge Id take a view around end of Oct or early Nov, see if we are happy. Then if he is sacked any new person will have time to assess the squad with a tranfer window to get/remove what is required.... just my view.

I wanted MS to work but Im not convinced he will. Just more of the same.......

I think our strong form at home, will be enough to secure the usual 7th or 8th position. But with regards to gate crashing the top six and winning trophies etc, these are the games you have to win, or at least take a point from.We are a club and fanbase with big ambitions, and rightly so.But our deplorable away form, will continue to frustrate and hinder these ambitions.

Isn't the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results? If each and every player is below form, then maybe the blame is on the tactics but not the players.

The main problem with Silva is the lack of development both on team play and individual aspects. The man is too stubborn. He can't offer solutions to the obvious problems. After three transfer windows, there is no excuse for that kind of failure.

Dominating possession is one thing, getting chances is another. Lots of pointless passing in the middle, slow tempo, lack of buildup play results in a passmap that bleeds eyes. How can a team succeed with that kind of positioning?

He needs to ditch Siggy and play Bernard as 10. Iwobi and Richy on the wings. Not to mention DCL should never start and Walcott be kept out of 18 man sheet

He has a weird love story with DCL + Walcott + Schneiderlin
