Isn't the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results? If each and every player is below form, then maybe the blame is on the tactics but not the players.

The main problem with Silva is the lack of development both on team play and individual aspects. The man is too stubborn. He can't offer solutions to the obvious problems. After three transfer windows, there is no excuse for that kind of failure.

Dominating possession is one thing, getting chances is another. Lots of pointless passing in the middle, slow tempo, lack of buildup play results in a passmap that bleeds eyes. How can a team succeed with that kind of positioning?

Pass wide and cross. Repeat.

Lots of posession but no point to it. It's getting beyond a joke.

Slow at the back, ponderous in midfield and a lack of cutting edge it's not a great combination. The fact they can't reproduce good play at home away shows up their mentality and Silva's tactics don't work away especially. 433 would suit us so so much more.

The problem is it takes a crisis for anyone at this club to do anything.

From the very top - we only sack a manager if we are in freefall

To the very bottom - we only make a substitute when we go a goal down

And fans wonder why we end up going for Alladyce type firefighters when we change manager in 15th/16th in the table.

We need to be proactive - sound out replacements like Watford done with Gracia on the side/quiet and if results
/performances continue like they have then pull the trigger and get the replacement in whilst we still have a chance of doing something this season.

Why can clubs like Leicester do this and sack a manager when the sides in around 10th with recent wins against the likes of Man City (Puel) but we cant?

Over it. Wasn't excited when he was hired, wasn't excited by his football last year and not excited by his football so far. Lacks ideas, passion and know how. If this continues he needs let go before Christmas, after will be too late.

One of Silva's biggest problems is that he has no connection at all with the fans. He shows no passion for the club, or indeed, for football in general. If he can't make this connection with us, I suspect he has big problems with the players too. My feeling is that many of them do not rate him - we have seen and heard some lukewarm media-fed support for him from Mina recently, but the silence from the majority of players is deafening.
I really don't see him lasting until the end of the season, and maybe not even until Christmas.

lol we won’t go down there’s 3 worse teams again thankfully top ten probably higher if the away form gets sorted

I disagree mate - I think the players do like him which is the concern as they liked Martinez until it became clear they had to down tools to get rid of him as the board are unambitious clowns and wouldn't dream of sacking someone unless absolute freefall is occurring.

If they didnt like him they would have saw him off last season.

Sadly until either the board pull the trigger or the changing room revolt occurs - we are stuck with the current situation.

I would also say the players are weak minded and love a manager whos their best mate rather than someone who bollocks them for not putting in 110% every week.

To offer some defense of our manager

We have not been terrible so far. We merely look as up and down and inconsistent as much of last season.

To improve on last season depends largely on the impact of the new signings. One of them is injured and two others can be forgiven for not settling in fully after only 5 games.

It has been only 5 games after all.

No other team is exactly shining so far if we ignore the scumbags. Our rivals are all within a point or below us and every one of them has had crap games.

Let’s see where we are at heading into the Xmas fixtures.

Ok so to sack him and then it’s rinse and repeat for years it’s pointless we NEED consistency

Sack > pay off

New manager > new contract / poss compo

New manager > new players

New manager > bloated squad (again)

New manager > can’t get rid of over paid duds ( again )

We end up back where we started, having poured even more money down the drain ( again )

3 of our 5 goals so far are crossing the ball and hoping someone heads it in, We have no attacking plan with Silva, Everything is just predictable in the way we play like Koeman and it's killing us again.
We need a manager who isn't afraid to change it up or make big time decisions in matches, We play it too safe. The amount of passing our CB's do to Pickford is absolute criminal.

In their own sweet way, I think the players are seeing him off. It's a very slow process though and of course it needs intervention from the board/owner.

Under Silva we have gone behind in 17 games. We’ve lost 14 of them.

That’s a problem.

2nd fewest wins on the road since the start of last season too.
The sky commentator said that since Bournemouth started in the league they’ve won 1 more away game than Everton in the same period. I’m sure this is their 5th season in the the top tier, not great if true.
