I despair after today and agree he needs to change his formation, selections and the results quickly if he wants to keep his job. But whoever is in charge we are a young team in rebuild. There isn't a quick fix manager who would come in and make us instantly competitive in my view.

Thing is, we aren't actually a young side.

A young side would play with more bottle, for one.

Silva's getting it wrong and the players aren't helping him. A bad mix.

Our first/best team is mostly a young side if you take out Coleman, Morgan and Sig. I guess my point is its still a developing squad with some inexperience in this league. I am really pissed off and we are underachieving and the players are seriously lacking character and guts/the manager makes clueless changes, if we go down, then the game is over. But Silva is a very streaky manager he is either good or very bad its been the pattern of his career. Unless you can tell me someone who will come in and suit the style of these players and inspire. I am just not sure changing manager again will help in the long term, chopping and changing is an admission of failure and you end up in this pattern again and again with managers with hotchpotch squads. I guess with Brands here we have to hope there's some long term stability regardless of the coach.

None of them are good enough flavour of the month managers.

Much like Silva was when we appointed him.

The best manager we’ve had in the last 20+ years earned his stripes at Preston. Howe has been on the scene for years and his work over a long period of time has made him very well respected.

Ideal world, we’d get someone with a history of improving their teams and challenging for top honours at the highest level, much like West Ham and Leicester have. But there’s very few of that bracket around and available to us.

Would say there's no movement through out the entire side tbh, we're the worst for off the ball movement in the league

Agree with that. A few times today Coleman had his palms outstretched in front of him as if to say "come on, will somebody show for the ball please" and nobody did. On Colemans side of the pitch Schneiderlin would be the logical pass so oh wait yeah hmmm

We have had players under-performing since last season. Silva should be sorting that out and its obvious that he can't. We need someone who can introduce some discipline into proceedings. I think Silva is worried about upsetting players, which is a short-cut to 'player-power'.

I really don't want Silva gone, and Sheffield United are a better side than people give them credit for.But considering we had a supposedly easy run of opening fixtures, to be 14th with two wins from six is rather worrying. We have Sheffield Wednesday and Man City up next.I really do fear the worst against Man City, and the Wednesday game i feel is one where defeat is quite simply not an option. But these are worrying times, we really can do without the upheaval of changing managers, besides im not sure would we even hire the right replacement. From Koeman to big Sam to Silva like. But perhaps today might have been our bottoming out moment.I sure hope so.

We have to hope he can coach his way out of it again but the way it looks at the moment though the players look bereft and he looks tactically clueless. He's a very streaky manager its either very good or terrible very little consistency.

Movement comes from interchange and the formation and confidence. We have little of all three right now.
