I like Matty but he's lost his head in recent weeks - if we were 14th under Alladyce with the fixtures we've had and performances we have put in he would be fuming demanding the axe be wield.

We will naturally do better against city. Not surprise it will be our best performance to date this season. Simply because this team is build and design to play only counter. Any other approach will be disaster waiting to happen. Tempo will be crucial. One of those game where Silva has no choice but to adopt such approach.

Whether it’s enough to win is another story, but I believe we will put in a respectable performance.

If the players cant adjust to zonal you change it. The players were obviously suited to zonal in the 80s but this rabble are not. Even when we were keeping clean sheets most corneŕs still made us look nervous.

Yes it does reek of double standards with some.

A manager is judged by his results. So far we have been no better than just decent, for all barring about a quarter of a season under his reign.

This isn’t any better than Koemans first and only full season, despite seemingly having more quality at his disposal in key areas.

I hope he turns it around, but it’s really not looking likely and the warning signs of him being predictable, stubborn and not particularly inspiring are all there for everyone to see.

Last week we had 7 points from 5 games, it was pretty much the definition of mediocre, but you could have been forgiven for thinking we'd lost every game we'd played from some of the comments on here.

The trouble is mate we couldn't beat palace, we got beat by a poor Villa side, we struggled against Watford and if the truth be known the game against Wolves, although we played quite well, could easily have gone the other way and the least said about Sheff Utd the better.

Zonal marking works if the ball is attacked and then the most important thing is making sure the 2nd ball is won. We do neither.
