We can't score against teams sitting deep so i agree we'll look a lot better when teams attack usWe will naturally do better against city. Not surprise it will be our best performance to date this season. Simply because this team is build and design to play only counter. Any other approach will be disaster waiting to happen. Tempo will be crucial. One of those game where Silva has no choice but to adopt such approach.
Whether it’s enough to win is another story, but I believe we will put in a respectable performance.
Beating Sheff Wed B team (with a bit of luck) doesn’t change my mind about him: he is a poor manager, with a Premiership relegation and a sacking by Watford Football Club on his CV.
But I’m the fool, for wanting us to get a better manager than Silva who plays the exact same tactic every game regardless of result, Silva, who doesn’t seem to see it as a problem we’ve conceded from set pieces more than any prem side since he came, Silva, with his pathetic away record and even worse away performances, not to mention his Millwall fiasco.
Beating Sheff Wed B team doesn’t change anything mate, he is a charlatan and a lot of people are starting to see through it.
I think most people are still in shock given the Millwall debacle last season.
He needed that badly tonight
We have won, when you have won you maintain momentum by getting behind the team and that's exactly what should happen at Goodison at the weekend
That was then mate lol
I don't disagree. The point is there's nothing particularly odd about that. It's disappointing, but it's not really surprising. It is, as I said, mediocre, and yet some of the reaction was as if it was the end of the world. Winning last night doesn't mean we're great, and losing on Saturday didn't mean we were in a relegation battle. We're likely to finish about 8th, we were before a ball had been kicked and we still are now. People need to accept that that's where we are, and that when you're that type of team you will have some really poor looking results. I'm not happy with it by any means, but there's no point acting as if we should be challenging the top 4 because we're a million miles away from it.The trouble is mate we couldn't beat palace, we got beat by a poor Villa side, we struggled against Watford and if the truth be known the game against Wolves, although we played quite well, could easily have gone the other way and the least said about Sheff Utd the better.
And we've just beaten a mid table championship side. Yay, roll out the red carpet and get a new mural up!
Shame we can't beat the promoted championship sides our own league!
We’ve won can’t you be happy and hope we build? Did you want us to lose? Then what would of you said?

I don't believe that for one secondThe gaps in personnel have meant Silva has been unable to pick the 4-3-3 formation he believes will help the team progress. His vision, it is understood, is for Gomes, Delph and Gbamin to play behind an attacking three of Alex Iwobi, Richarlison and either Kean or Calvert-Lewin.
