It's too early to be worrying about position #, We're only 6 games in.
When it gets to about 15ish games then I'd be worried if we're hovering around relegation or that area.

I would agree with you if we hadn't been atrocious in practically every league game we have played. Cant even see us beating Burnley, never mind City.

Lets hope that it all comes together and we go on a decent run and not the latter.

Hopefully he gets this pressure of his back and he sorts a way to beat city. A decent win over city could be a spring board to kicking on. Really rough ask but something needs to happen if he’s going to survive the season.

It’s going to be 4231 with slow sideways passing, terrible constant crossing, no danger of a shot on target and 0-3 by half time isn’t it. ☹️

marco silva has lost all 5 premier league games against man city

in the last 28 premier league games everton have lost 13 , which is 3rd most..

Everton have conceded 20 gaols from set plays in 2019 ... worst out all prem teams

I don't disagree. The point is there's nothing particularly odd about that. It's disappointing, but it's not really surprising. It is, as I said, mediocre, and yet some of the reaction was as if it was the end of the world. Winning last night doesn't mean we're great, and losing on Saturday didn't mean we were in a relegation battle. We're likely to finish about 8th, we were before a ball had been kicked and we still are now. People need to accept that that's where we are, and that when you're that type of team you will have some really poor looking results. I'm not happy with it by any means, but there's no point acting as if we should be challenging the top 4 because we're a million miles away from it.
But at the beginning of the season most people on hear including myself where looking at top 6. We'd spent a lot of money and looked like we where progressing in the level of player department. Now top 6 for me, is still mediocrity for this great club, but let's be realistic it's progression for us at the moment. 8th will not be good enough.

Some people were, but there were plenty of others (including me) who were saying they didn't think the squad was anywhere near that level. The only way that this squad could ever have been seen as better than last seasons was if Kean came in and did brilliantly. He hasn't yet, and so we don't look like we're progressing because we're not. We lost 2 key players in the summer, one wasn't replaced at all and the other one's replacement isn't playing. Anybody who's surprised that we haven't got better was kidding themselves about the business we did.

And I could give you a lot more stats that say we are great, great job.
