What happens come the start of December when we have all the 'top sides' if the next 2 months we continue to struggle as we have been doing so far.

well maybe we have a tough time of it. Who do we get in that makes it any better? Any managers with come free with a spare central defender? Managers need time... after a few seasons if it isn't working it isn't working. Crazy to sack now

I do think this ‘performance’ (couple of chances on goal albeit from City’s poor defending) will buy this joker Silva more time.

I want to give Silva more time but I'm getting a lot of flashbacks to Martinez' last season. That inability to react and stubborn declination to mix things up.

one big difference is he calls it when it is bad, RM called it phenomenal

Koeman got 6th and 7th at Soton in 2 seasons.

to be fair Keane and Zouma were a much better partnership than Keane and Mina... and Pickford has not been great either... crazy to think about sacking him, chopping and changing does nothing. Klopp took time too and he's got his team purring now. Gardiola took time... stop with the whinging ffs

Klopp was a proven manager so was the city guy that's why they where given time.

Quite literally the only issue I ahve with sacking him now is the replacement. The GOOD managers are pretty much all in jobs right now that their teams don't want to screw up their season to allow their manager to leave.

Koeman got 6th and 7th at Soton in 2 seasons.

Took over from Pochettino side.

And set us back 3 seasons.

We caused them problems when we matched them at their own game. This is where having Andre might have helped us a bit as we sorely missed that composure on the dribble. When we took our feet off the gas our game went tits up and we were lucky not to concede 5-6 goals.

Can I blame Silva for the lack of personnel in the middle to face up to a Manchester City? No. Not really. The game was there to be won though and we didn’t take advantage. I can’t say I was impressed with that performance, but taking in the circumstances, it was acceptable as opposed to the others.

I will say this one last time. If the good ones are taken, go for one that is unproven.

Arteta is untried, so we can't say he's mediocre, but he's learned from the best. Rather him than Mourinho-who-would-never-touch-us-anyway.
