Took over from Pochettino side.
And set us back 3 seasons.
I won’t say 3 seasons because Martinez was as crap.
He and Walsh wasted a lot of money though.

I do think this ‘performance’ (couple of chances on goal albeit from City’s poor defending) will buy this joker Silva more time.
I’d agree a bit. Koeman had Europe and an impossible schedule to cope with. Silva has neither. We only carry a threat under him when we sacrifice all manner of solidity and shape.
He's out of his depth. We are a defensive shambles. He's spent an absolute bomb to fall down to Koeman levels of performance. He deserves to go more than Koeman.
to be fair Keane and Zouma were a much better partnership than Keane and Mina... and Pickford has not been great either... crazy to think about sacking him, chopping and changing does nothing. Klopp took time too and he's got his team purring now. Gardiola took time... stop with the whinging ffs
Koeman got 6th and 7th at Soton in 2 seasons.
but that's not the point is it? They still needed time, proven though they were. It suggests an unproven younger manager might need more time, right?! Who do you get in? realistically? Whether we like it or not, City and Lpool will attract a higher calibre of manager, same as playersKlopp was a proven manager was was the city guy that's why they where given time.
Under the owner’s orders to accommodate Gylfi Sigurdsson your highnessKlopp went into the RS, with at the time a worse squad than ours. He walked in and said “this is the system, and this is how I play”. Over time he bought players to support the ones that bought into and hence they’re brilliant.
Silva has done the opposite, he’s changed his system to suit the players instead of making them play how he wants

We still play better than we did, and are capable of upward trajectory as opposed to some recent managers. Managers need time. 45 games is not long enough nor is 2 windows with the amount of deadwood we hadKlopp went into the RS, with at the time a worse squad than ours.
