We are going backwards from last season, when Silva was in charge......and that is a fact.

If Sam and Unsy are the yardsticks by which we measure Silva then lower half mediocrity and surviving the odd relegation scrap will be our level in perpetuity.

Sadly we are on a par with that said dross. Those sides are probably looking at Everton as dross.

I think this is were people get confused between aimless passing and playing good and creating chance after chance. We’ve struggled against almost ever team we’ve played so far, not exactly upward trajectory.

I wouldn't call what I saw today aimless passing. 8 shots on target with some good saves from Ederson. I do think there is a struggle against very defensive teams with too much crossing but if we can see it, so can he. It is easy to criticise when someone else's decisions turn out to be wrong but hindsight is 20/20... Has he ever made a decision you thought was wrong that turned out to be right or is it selective memory and a guy who eats/drinks and sleeps football is actually asleep and knows less than all of us. It is the premier league, it is highly competitive and a club that hasn't won a trophy in 25 years with a fraction of the support of other clubs is going to have to take a chance on a manager and give him time. Who do you get in?
