but that's not the point is it? They still needed time, proven though they were. It suggests an unproven younger manager might need more time, right?! Who do you get in? realistically? Whether we like it or not, City and Lpool will attract a higher calibre of manager, same as players

The “who do you get?” argument is ridiculous.

There are literally dozens of managers more qualified than MS who we could get.

If the club are truly as ambitious as they say then attracting a top young manager wouldn’t be an issue. The point seems to be, that we actually aren’t - therefore Silva will do.

Cant believe I've just gone on social media to see fans say they are "upbeat" after the game - who are these wet wipes who support us these days? We've just been beaten 3-1 at home and are 15th 2 points off the relegation spots ffs!!!

The same people who said how "PROUD" they were after losing to Liverpool and Chelsea last season.

They played well, against one of the best teams in world football. But we have had the easiest start to our season in eons and we have 7 points out of it in 7 matches. That falls squarely on the dour tits head.

I wouldn't call what I saw today aimless passing. 8 shots on target with some good saves from Ederson. I do think there is a struggle against very defensive teams with too much crossing but if we can see it, so can he. It is easy to criticise when someone else's decisions turn out to be wrong but hindsight is 20/20... Has he ever made a decision you thought was wrong that turned out to be right or is it selective memory and a guy who eats/drinks and sleeps football is actually asleep and knows less than all of us. It is the premier league, it is highly competitive and a club that hasn't won a trophy in 25 years with a fraction of the support of other clubs is going to have to take a chance on a manager and give him time. Who do you get in?

Yes I agree, but that’s because city play and you’ll always get chances against them.

but getting 6th-4th his based on beating the dire teams and he simply can’t setup against them. It’s proven last year and this, no change in formation, no proactive substitutes. It’s all like for like in the hope that new personnel change the outcome, when it’s the system that’s failing
