No I wouldnd want Dyche at everton but that has nothing to do with his `style' of football. If you tried to play free flowing football in the prem with Burnleys wage/transfer budget just about every manager on the planet would be sacked very quickly.

You adapt to circumstances.

I was sickened by evertonians reaction to Alladyce's apppintment. He did a good job in very difficult circumstances and deserved a chance with a proper budget that summer. He played very good football at times with Bolton, hugely overachived with them and genrally did a better than expected job everywhere he has gone.

Meanwhile a Portuguese manager with no record of achievement outsde of the Greek league is welcomed like some sort of God. Just utterly bizarre mate.
He’s not a god at all, I’d say half the fan base won’t him out.

And after big sams first win we were 9th six months later we finished 8th. Spent 50mil on dross in the January. After that I wouldn’t have give him another pound.

And do you really believe if Dyche had money he would change his style. Honestly you’re taking utter garbage.

Why are you making excuses?

We have spent hundreds of millions more than all those teams you quote and have had a higher wage bill than all of them for years.

Yet Leicester outperform, Wolves have come up from the championship and outperform us and we are closer to Bournemouth than breaking into the top 6.

Again, why the excuses and delusion? Are you seriously suggesting we are doing ok?
I’m not making excuses. And if Brands & silva had been here 3 years I’d want them sacked. But they haven’t. Brands is trying to buy younger players and get rid of the deadwood, which is proving difficult.

A younger team is going to take longer to gel. And if silva isn’t good enough to take the team forward I’m sure Brands will replace him.

And your point About us spending hundreds of millions more than the teams mentioned.
Last 5 seasons
Everton’s debt on spending 218mil
Bournemouth dept on spending 180mil

Wolves, villa, Leicester will all be similar too

Incredibly Brighton’s debt over the same period 206mil BRIGHTON. If they survive, there new manger will have done a great job. If Bournemouth get mid table Eddie Howe will also have done a great job. Well that’s what the media will tell you.

Yet Silva taking over a new club with a load of changes is expected to get us top 6.
Just proves how difficult it is to compete when the middle table teams and even the bottom teams are spending huge sums on players.

I think it has a lot to do with recruitment.

If Silva had the say so on who came in and when they came in (and who left) we'd see different permutations.

He's basically having to force fit another man's players into an 11 that he doesn't really believe in, so doesn't deviate from his security blanket of 4231
The problem I have with this line of thinking is that it becomes entirely selective based on your position.

Lukaku = Martinez master stroke
Niasse = 'signed by the club'

He has plenty of alternatives to 4-2-3-1, he just doesn't want to deviate, like he didn't deviate last year.

He has one system and rigidly sticks to it, which is great when it works, but when it doesn't that 'comfort blanket' becomes a swaddle.

We played the 2nd best team in the league today, not even answering questions on who is currently 1st, must confess I didnt watch all the game, but we looked decent from what I watched and we were in the game till City just opened up their legs and cantered away, but that game in insolation and whilst disappointing, I mean it wasnt a shock.

We have played 8 games this season and won 4, granted 2 were lower-tier teams and we made hard work of both games truth be told, but we havent played well at all.

A few players have having decent spells in games, but I wouldnt say anybody is playing well from 1 game to the next.

Its a mess, defeat at Burnley, not an easy place to go, 2 banks of 4, sitting back, but defeat there and some results go our way and we are in danger of dropping into the bottom 3.

Im still not in the "Silva out" posse, but as I say, defeat at Burnley or the manner of defeat, with an international break coming up, thats gonna be some decision that. Hopefully theres no decision to be made, but I would think, after spending so long and the amount of hassle it caused to get him that Moshiri/Brands will probably not pull the trigger.

Over to you Marco.

I see my work is paying off...if you open up a little more I can guide you to the light...

Even though I never wanted him I was honestly hoping he'd come in, change our whole mentality and organise us properly, I wasn't expecting miracles as I how poor our squad was. Many of you were very upbeat and positive about him, so I thought maybe it was me that had him wrong.

Over the course of last season I was waiting to see his philosophy come together. We waited and waited but one good game was followed by a terrible one.

I'm quite sure we even failed to put a single decent 90 mins in. It's waz all very odd.

The last few games last season with nowt on them were nothing to judge the team by as has shown with the start this season.

Was really hoping for a great and positive start to this campaign but I think our lack of activity where it matters in the window has really set us back.

Anyway I can't see how this team gets the results Marco needs to keep him in a job here.

I’d love him to turn it around , same as any of our mangers. Anyone else think the team looks a bit disjointed? There’s a over reliance on full backs in our attacks which has gone on far too long and we don’t move it quick enough most of the time.

From reading the forum and other social media places, a lot seem fine and content with today’s performance including Silva himself.

Each to their own. I don’t see it, maybe I need to watch it again, felt we looked bewildered first 20, relied heavily on set pieces to create stuff and there were times DCL was isolated and had to feed off hit and hope punts up field. It felt very huff and puff, the only positives I can think of was there was a bit more intensity that’s been lacking particularly when we played Bournemouth, Coleman/DCL goal and a good Iwobi pass which Sigurdsson should of headed rather than try to bring down.

Bit fed up of it all as you can tell and If Silva is sacked I wouldn’t have the first idea as to who to suggest to come in to dramatically improve us on a consistent basis.

I'm getting the impression that the players just don't believe in the way he is doing things. Esp senior players like gylfi, he's been around long enough to know if silva does actually know what he's doing, it's getting obv the players aren't fully behind him now
