Koeman was sacked because we were in the relegation zone.

We had 1 point from nine and were all but out when Koeman was sacked. PL points were the priority.

Funny how you now have different standards.
He;d lost the dressing room. There was a revolt. He had to go.

Hmm.

We've been tosh for a while now. Results and performances improved when the season was already over, last season. Back to the norm this season.

Don't think a sacking would be as knee jerk as you or Dave suggest.

As I said earlier, we have achieved practically the same results from every manager back to David Moyes (~40% win ratio), and yet we still cling to this belief that a change of manager is what we need. We've tried that four times since Moyes and it's not made any difference, but hey ho, lets try it again, blow even more money in compensation. I'm sure the 5th time will be different. We can always rinse and repeat in 18 months time like we always do.

And the players get a free pass. There was an interview with Roy Keane recently and he said even under Ferguson, the United dressing room pretty much ran itself because of the great characters in it. Our dressing room seems to 'down tools' for every manager, yet the blame is always pinged on the coach.

relegation zone after 8 games against watford, wolves, bournemouth, burnley, sheffield united, aston villa, crystal palace

This is the rub of it. More and more each season depends on momentum and on paper at least our opening games this season seemed to offer up more realistic points than most, we've got the hardest part to come in December. If we haven't dragged ourself firmly into the top half by then, we'll drop.
It's 6th October and the season is written off already.

He's not even remotely looked like turning this run around though, he's making the same mistakes week in week out. Sometimes you just have to say enough a enough

We cant carry on with the 18 month manager routine. It is killing us with costs...the compo and contract and the churn in players.

We need to make a stand. Weather this. That takes a bit of maturity and character from fans as well as owners.
Based on what? The 18 month manager routine is because we are picking the wrong one. Silva should not get any different treatment because we have picked two poor ones before him. The compo is moshiris money and his fault because he picked them. No sympathy whatsoever. If the only reason you have that we should keep Silva is because we’ve had two or three crap managers before him as well then that’s crazy. Maybe provide some insight as to what Silva actually brings to the table as a football manager. Tactics? Team selection? Inspiring? In game management? Charisma?
No thought not.....

Not to mention the person who hires these managers, gives them lengthy contracts, and then sacks them in a blink of an eye gets off Scott free. In most lines of work if you kept sacking the people 'you' hired and results hadn't improved throughout your numerous hirings, you might question your approach, but apparently we're happy to be a joke of a club who burn through money like it's going out of fashion without going anywhere at all.

If you are a boss and you give someone an objective at the start of the year. You then see that person crashing and burning pretty early on...what would you do?

The easiest imaginable start to the season.

Millions spent on a squad which with 1 or 2 exceptions is good enough for the top 6.

And yet we find ourselves in the bottom 3.

Time to pull the trigger Mr Moshiri.

I just hope Brands has done his job and has a replacement lined up.

The players don't chose the formation or starting eleven through

I'd rather not be the club who gives managers 200m quid and 15 months, and then let's them continue even when they are in the relegation positions. That is the definition of gross negligence.

He is failing disastrously. Who cares what other fans think. From my experience anyway, all my mates (mainly reds and united) are baffled he's still in a job.
