Not having a sub CB is not responsible for where we sit in the table
A Gueye shaped hole in MF doesn't help either.

He had the defensive heart cut out of his team from last season: Zouma and Gueye. What manager wouldn't need time to get their bearings? He didn't have a long pre-season with replacements did he?

I have no axe to grind for Silva. He gets mitigation in the sense (as you acknowledged a few weeks back) he was not best served being left hanging without a CB.

We're into a bad cycle of fans hiring and firing here. How does that make us attractive to the type of manager you or others may have in mind to come in?

Fans are fickle, no doubt. It was only the other month he had a 94.7% approval rating in our survey...

And I made that defence on number of games for Koeman, here.

But Silva's a dud unfortunately. His bad runs are always really, really bad runs and that's not a good sign.

Eight games in.

I see the concern and recognise it. However, it's early. Any decision is not being made unless we lose both the next two. I feel sure of that.

Uppermost in the latitude they'll give Silva is what he had to contend with this summer: late arrivals, sales of his players, left him short at CB.

WHU and BHA games will sort this out one way or the other. 4 from the 6 and he's sticking around. If we get less than that I believe he's on thin ice. I would not hold him responsible for the whole situation though. The DoF has made these changes since last season when we were flying, and he carries the can also. I'd punt him too. He;s wasted £200M since he came in.

You'd make a mint if you touted yourself as a PR manager to failing managers mate. In fact I'd love you as my liar.

Good managers do not have a team like Everton in the bottom three after playing them opening 8 games. It’s actu disgraceful what Silva has done here.

Theres not one single valid excuse either, there really isn’t.

Given the calibre of teams we have faced and the selection of players he’s had available he has ZERO excuses. Absolutely none.

He had a bad run last season and we stopped the rot and went on a decent last third of the season run.

I just dont see this as being good for players the chop and change either. It looks to me that he still has their confidence and they need a result from somewhere to pick up.

But as I said, I'm not going to shed any tears for Silva if he gets sacked. I just dont see the new flavour they bring in as doing any better, because they'll all ahve slumps and the cycle will start again. We will send out a massive message if this manager is persevered with and he turns it again. Up to Moshiri and Brands. I thought Brands was brought in to stop all this churn in any case.
