Apart from Moyes, we've always had a head scout and a hands on CEO / secretary to augment the manager. No DoF job is the same, that is indeed correct.
But every club employs somebody who oversees recruitment.
Apart from Eddie Howe who just rings up Liverpool when he wants a player.
Wrongly.I never hope I know more than everyone else, its always assumed.
You;re not giving that point the credit it deserves, tbh. You dont just adapt players not suited in two months of football. Blame the DoF for the necessity to adapt his new players.
Yeah, and Keane was hopeless withiout Zouma and Mina was awful or unfit to play last season. He has 2 of the 3 CBS from last season. And neither of them have been injured. He was hardly left without one. Even if we had brought one in, they would still be on the bench as wouldnt have been put straight in. Substitute CBs are not the cause of Marco being terrible.
And gueye going, while a big loss, having delph and schneiderlin available should still be enough to beat most of the teams we have played.
Apart from Moyes, we've always had a head scout and a hands on CEO / secretary to augment the manager.
Sounds good to me right now. A simple chain of command with the manager having final say on players.
You'd paly those as a MF three? He's got Schniderlin, Delph, Davies. All premiership players for years. But insists on playing a 2 man midfield. The only team in the premiership bar United to play that way.
The only reason the 2 man midfield worked to a point was due to how good Gana was at breaking up counter attacks and play. We don't have that now.
So...you change, you adapt. You dont keep playing the same way.
So few words yet so excitingNo Jose on super Sunday today
No, Martinez was in command of the players coming in and he had good and bad in...and on the cheap all told. Barry, McCarthy and Lukaku first season for a total of £14M set us up for top 5.Blame Martinez for that.
Koeman's bad runs were equally persistent. One spell from end September to mid December in his first season here saw him win only 1 PL game out of 10.Fans are fickle, no doubt. It was only the other month he had a 94.7% approval rating in our survey...
And I made that defence on number of games for Koeman, here.
But Silva's a dud unfortunately. His bad runs are always really, really bad runs and that's not a good sign.
