16th in the table after 10 games ffs

An absolute shambolic effort and simply unacceptable and the board are culpable for this absolute crap show the longer they allow this to continue.

cant get away from those stats unfortunately. It’s a bad combination of some horrible performances mixed with ok performances where we have been dealt a cruel hand. But when it keeps happening then questions do start to be asked. Too many set pieces go against us, too many refereeing decisions go against us, too many ‘their only shot of the game’ go in against us. Good teams control their own fate better. We’re a walking calamity and the players buy into it seemingly grasping defeat out of any possible scenario. If the manager can’t reverse that then ultimately he has to go.

I'm quite confident we won't get relegated. The lack of wins and amount of defeats to utter dirge is concerning. But... try and enjoy your night I guess, I'm done letting Everton spoil the weekend :pint2:
I'm not,in 1994 and 1998,the teams we had then were poor, some truly abject players, however if we were to be going into the last six games of this season needing points could you say this lot would stand up and be counted? At least those two teams in the 1990's however limited had desire and GONADS.

I'm too young to remember those teams but the current one does have *something* as shown against Arsenal, Chelsea and United last year at Goodison, and I think we have enough of whatever that is to not have to worry about relegation. That said, the points need to be picked up sooner rather than later.

There'll be no sacking. Remember last week the look of relief on Moshiri and Kenwright's faces? The axe isn't coming down anytime soon. Silva will see us through to the QFs of the LC in 3 days time. Then we face Spurs at home.

He will be given a few chances yet.

I’ll give him credit where it’s due; he almost had it. Almost isn’t good enough. We shouldn’t even be debating almost. We need to win some of these convincingly.

You can only excuse so much. Sometimes you just have to win- even when the cards aren’t falling your way. He doesn’t have enough goodwill to earn my sympathy today.

All our away games have been on a knife edge and we have inevitably come off second best.

We are just a great side to play against. Let us have the ball, sit back and defend then pick your moments to break in numbers and catch us out. Usually home fans would hate this tactic but they embrace it against us and for whatever reason it always turns into a cup tie atmosphere. No better home fixture than Everton right now.

The fact that you think me placing a manager's woes in the context of external factors...oh, and the fact that we're a season into his being here...is the wind up.

What did you do when we won last week?
Walked home from the match.Over a season by the by.I also knew we would not win today as well.

Silva showed his lack of nous tactically again though Dave with the Sigurdsson and Delph substitutions, at times it was like watching a Sunday league game where everyone is all over the gaff, at one point I literally didn't know how we were supposed to be set - up.
I'm well aware of the subs - he needs to sort that out.

But let's not overlook he has these cowards bought for him by that ball bag Brands. There's plenty of blame to go round here.

Oh, I havnt got a problem is he is punted, even though I would prefer we didnt unless there is an upgrade in the wings. Point I was making is that we were terribly unlucky today, which he was powerless to prevent.

Ergo, he shouldnt be punted on the evidence of todays performance.
We were unlucky for one goal of 3 conceded against a poor brighton side. The reality is the third goal was entirely representative of the state of this teams mentality. The first goal was entirely representative of the collective lack of focus that has become endemic under him. That mentality is set or has to be developed by the manager. We need a manager by definition, not a coach. Silva is a coach. Ergo it would be justified binning him on todays performance because todays performance is a microcosm of us under his "leadership".

In truth "nothing games" for us mate, our season was truly over at that point, we played with freedom and they were "free hits"if you like, and there lies the crux of our problem, any type of "pressure"game(West Ham apart)we fall to pieces.

I would literally flip that upside down. Players have to take responsibility, when things are going badly show some fight work harder, graft, run your legs off. They will all be on twitter tonight with the usual speil. All talk..no walk.
