We’ll smash Watford all over the place on Tuesday. I didn’t see a lot wrong with how we played yesterday, there was some great performances most notably sidibe who should stay in the team for me now. We bossed Brighton, came from behind and you can try and say his changes didn’t work but they did. That pen decision is what killed us, just a shame it feeds in to some people’s narratives.

There’s plenty of things to moan about this season but yesterday’s performance shouldn’t really be one.
Managers will always be judged on results ultimately.
Marco Silva certainly still seems to have the players on his side and seems to have found a formation that has the team playing much better football even though it could be argued he was pushed into it with injuries and suspension.

I just think that he is a manager who will always get a run of bad results followed by a run of good results.. I don't think he will ever be able to get the team doing well enough consistently over a full season to challenge for a top six spot, never mind a top four spot.

Like many others before him I think he may be a better coach than he is a manager. I think he may be a top coach but a mid table manager.

I think this is our year in the League Cup. Win this and the QF is secured and a decent draw gives us a crack at Wembley.
Appreciate that a lot of fans look forward to the Wembley trips and Europe away days but the bread and butter is the Premier League and without that it's a long dark tunnel.

Not arsed about a pat on the head for coming 5th 6th 7th. It's nothing.

A trophy is a trophy is a trophy. It's what we're in existence for.

I agree however I dont get why you are so confident that a cup win is in the bag with this fella - not like he has won a pot in this league before.

If anything I make Watford favourites for Tuesday as they'll be desperate to get him the sack.

Dave's got people bouncing on the strings again ffs. He's a forum genius.

Calm down, go back and look at @davek 's posts about how many points he felt Silva needed from the last three games. Then put your heads back on your shoulders.

he’s revelling in others upset about the predicament again, a bit like a Liverpool fan might do...hmmm

If he loses against Watford, I have zero doubt he'll be sacked. I genuinely worry for us with that horrendous December fixture list though, and if we sack him just before that we're virtually setting up any new manager to fail. So if we beat Watford, he sticks around and we have an awful November, it could start looking very worrying indeed.
I dunno our gutless wonders seem to actually raise ourselves to play bigger teams. Along with a new manager bounce who knows.
