Managers will always be judged on results ultimately.
Marco Silva certainly still seems to have the players on his side and seems to have found a formation that has the team playing much better football even though it could be argued he was pushed into it with injuries and suspension.

I just think that he is a manager who will always get a run of bad results followed by a run of good results.. I don't think he will ever be able to get the team doing well enough consistently over a full season to challenge for a top six spot, never mind a top four spot.

Like many others before him I think he may be a better coach than he is a manager. I think he may be a top coach but a mid table manager.

I agree, he’s very frustrating and I’m having a hard time seeing his good points at the moment. I just felt yesterday needed a bit of perspective. I always have a slight hope something will come good but silva hasn’t half beaten that out of me and any good run carries the underlying feeling that it’s going to end in catastrophe.

It's because he has no record of sustained success in this league or in his career beyond short runs in Portugal and Greece. The more you think about it the more it's amazing he ever got the job for half a decent season at Watford.

He’s also a very depressing figure on the touch line. Can’t imagine how he inspires anything in anybody in the dressing room.

talking about us now on Talksport.

I think my position is basically ...

I trust Marco Silva much more with not relegating us or even coming close to a relegation battle , than I do the club to quickly sack a Manager and have a decent replacement lined up.

so we stick until he turns it around enough to win fans over OR they have a good manager lined up.

but those screaming OUT now need to remember the next guy is going to need time/patience too. And may also end up crap. There’s no sure thing or quick fix for the utter disaster of a club that we are.

He is worse than Fat Sam.

Silva has given money to improve the squad. He is asked to do a job that he can’t which is to get Euro.
