...I was giving you a ‘like’ but had to withdraw it when I fully read your final sentence. He’s certainly had no luck, but we’re losing games to teams we are still better than. We are better than teams in games yet lose them which is a concern.

I’m with you that he won’t be sacked, and I wouldn’t sack him myself but the team should be better organised to pick up more points than they have.

Criticism of Brands might be warranted for the lack of a Zouma replacement. I believe he was confident of getting Zouma or Tomori off Chelsea but was scuppered with the deadline day move of Villa. He clearly had no other option at that stage, other than a permanent deal for the Manchester United defender (which I think he was right to walk away from).

Regardless, Silva has a couple of big games coming up and I’d genuinely like it if he turned things around.

If you are under pressure, fighting for every point why on earth would you be so accepting of such blatant bad decisions? Take the ban and call them out on it, make it the focus of the interview and list everything that has gone wrong and put a massive spotlight on the implementation of VAR.

Instead he's an absolute flump. If he was represented by a colour it would be Grey. Dour and uninspiring mess. If we lose at Southampton that has to be the end.
