But there is not a chance the players we have are top 8 quality. Wolves, Leicester and West Ham will all finish above us, as well as the usual six - we’ve got too many passengers and our ‘good’ players are nowhere near as good or consistent as we like to think they are.

We're out of form with a manager who isn't clever enough or experienced enough to sort it. Even if it does improve, he hasn't shown anything to go to another level.

The squad we have is equally as capable as the ones mentioned IMO.

Just look at spurs, they're in the same predicament as we are. Out of form players and a manager who has probably finished his stint there ready to move on. Doesn't make those players who reached the champions league final and finished top 4 the last few years a bad team. Nor does it make Poch to be a bad coach. Things just run our of steam.

We have no goalscorer, decent CB pairing, midfield of any description.

Del Bosque + Mourinho + Ancelotti couldn't get this lot up the table.
 

FFS, Dave makes me hate Silva, I dont hate him, I think hes been very, very unlucky this season, honestly I dont ever recall an Everton manager having so much bad luck in short a space of time, BUT, even considering the farce that is VAR, the injuries, balls hitting the crossbar 3 wins from 11 isnt just bad luck.

Next week hes simply got to get 3 points, there can be no excuses, no reasons, nothing but 3 points, anything less and im almost certain the bullet will be fired.

Which will be a shame for me, hes really tried to play proper football, but sadly its just not working.

In Marco we trust, for at least the next 7 days at least.

On this basis do Leicester City have Champions League level players and Sheffield United, Bournemouth and Brighton have Europa League level players? Do the latter teams have better players than ours? All 3 of whom beat us?

I agree with this to a point.

the terrible run of form last season can’t be down to bad luck as well though.

Thing is we keep saying next week...etc lose down there and it will be let's wait and see what happens against Norwich...etc he is weeks past his sell by date
