2019/20 Marco Silva

With what has happened to our midfield (injuries to Gomes & Gbamin) has brought Silva some time, yes the players are playing for him.

It's what happens now that matters, if he brings the crab back in then fans will turn very quickly, to me he needs to give Banigame a chance as Unsworth has been raving about him, plus he is the closest we have to Gana.

Over to you Silva

Southampton was always gonna be the key match. International break to follow so he's gone if he loses. And deservedly so.

Yeh there'd be no complaints.

The fact that the table is so congested is his saving grace if we win that. But yeh, not good enough.

Whole club - from a footballing perspective, Brands down - hasn't been good enough since the end of last season. End of.

Inappropriate Language
Players are definitely trying for him.

Not really sure what people expect from him? Aside from playing teenagers hes tried it all.

Yeh and unfortunately the players simply aren't consistent enough.

Neither is he and sometimes to get that jump you have to change things up.

As I said, from Brands to the players, it's been an absolute s***show.

The players were playing for Martinez as well before he went.

That's the problem. They do as they are told even when it loses games. Great we have players doing that but....

Could you see a team of winners like Chelsea , united of old , doing that? They demand a better manager. We plod along and follow instructions without questioning them

It's whatever side of the coin you fall on whether you think that's a good or bad thing.

Banigame and Davies in midfield with the fixture list we've got coming up is one ballsy gamble. Might as well roll the dice given the options though.

Between Gbamin Bernard and Gomes, Silva has been lucky. But he had enough games with both Bernard and Gomes available, to pick up enough points to have us competing at the top end of the table.I don't dislike Silva in the same way that i disliked both Martinez Koeman, but we are 17th, and scraping a last second draw against an out of sorts Spurs side, ain't much to write home about.

We are in a deep malaise and serious rut, and he doesn't seem capable of turning it around.I would presume the board has told Marcel Brands to look for potential replacements. If they have not done at least that, then i would be seriously worried, about where this club is heading, and it would show that the board are living in cloud cuckoo land.We ain't going to attract an Mourinho unfortunately, but someone like Guus Hiddink could do a job.But a depressing sense of inertia has set in, and we need to get out of it, a hell of a lot sooner than later. If Marco Silva is not capable of doing that, then he needs to go unfortunately.
You are wanting rid of Silva yet you complained in another thread about Hearts getting rid of their manager whilst still in the League cup, are you advocating then that we should only sack him once we are out of the cup competitions? I find your posts confusing and hypocritical.

Be typical of our board to appoint a new manager with this opening run;

Liverpool (A), Chelsea (H), Man Utd (A), Leicester (H), Arsenal (A)

it will be unsy for all those games rendering ZERO points.

we could seriously be dead in the water after that run of games .

nobody seems to be taking my prediction of relegation seriously at all.

weve just lost our most influential midfielder now too.

You sound surprised that no one on here takes you seriously at all lol

your posts defending silva are as laughable as silvas game tactics.

I don't think he has ever set us right to face any opponents, or changed the system during a game to counteract what the others are doing..

what have you been watching for 18 months ?? Estoril Portuguese division 2 matches from 2011?

and how do you defend the never EVER winning once going behind ??

played 25

won 0

drawn 5

lost 20

hes a mastermind for sure.

That arsenal game is home is it not?
Please do not give me a heart attack.
I’m coming to that game from the states and I’m nearly positive that is a at Goodison

am I missing something?

This is the most worrying thing. When Martinez was edging towards the end, the players had completely given up on him. I think these players genuinely want Silva to manage them.

I just don’t see it
Effort, work rate, desire to win for me is all but non existent
These players are just going through the motions for me

It’s disgraceful how they get away with it
